AHSA hosted its 52nd annual conference in July-Aug, 2021 and was a partner for PANAFEST and the 2021 PANAFEST Three (3) day Colloquium 2021 in Ghana. This was very disappointing or maybe I'm just not prepared to comprehend it. Once again it seems like we're going backwards I wouldn't even think the question if adopting the name Africa was detrimental to a struggle that hasn't gone anywhere. And literally are we still on the word Africa? We literally have elders running around here talking about where Hebrew and native American but you are bringing up the name Africa. If one looks at actually what happened during the kidnapping of our people it's clear that they had to separate us from African identity or whatever you choose to call it. what came out of that was the black or the n-word identity for sure,  And we're still using those today. So many of us say we are black but not African..And I think we need to study more than just the period you suggest because we were kidnapped hundreds and hundreds of years before that. But I couldn't even continue watching it cuz it just seemed to be going in circles
