Chukwunyere Kamalu is the author of several books on African philosophy and culture including Foundations of African Thought (1990); Person Divinity and Nature (1998); The Little African History Book (2007); The Word at Face Value (2012, 2016). Chukwunyere has taught at the University of Reading (Black Studies and Social Psychology) and the University of the Arts, London (African philosophy ).
Chukwunyere is a trained research earth scientist and civil engineer, currently acting (since 2012) in the voluntary role of Chair of the Society of African Earth Scientists (saescientists.blogspot.com ). He also works in professional capacity as a financial accountant ( for past 20 years) and as a maths and science tutor in an African supplementary school since 2014.

Dr. Kmt Shockley: In a War of Irreconcilable Realities: The Critical Need for Afrikan Centered Education
Dr. Kmt G. Shockley is associate professor at Howard University in the School of Education, Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies. Prior to his appointment at Howard he was associate professor at Morgan State University and at George Mason University. Dr. Shockley has authored numerous articles and two books on the broad topic of African American education, specifically African centered education. Dr. Shockley’s most recent book is entitled, The Miseducation of Black Children, it’s published by African American Images (Chicago, IL). He has published works in journals such as The Journal of Negro Education, the Journal of Black Studies, the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, and the International Journal of Critical Pedagogy, to name a few. In addition to his work as a professor and researcher, he served as founding board member for a charter school in Washington, DC. Dr. Shockley holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership & Policy Studies from the University of Maryland at College Park.

The Pan African Festival (PANAFEST) Foundation, AHSA and University of Cape Coast met virtually and on ground to explore issues affecting the Black Family, Youth, Pan Africanism and African liberation. This video captures a keynote discussion on the significance and legacy of historian, Pan Africanist and Jegna Dr. John Henrik Clarke. His importance in shaping African history, identity, culture knowledge production are highlighted and leader in institutional building, including that of the African Heritage Studies Association (AHSA).
