The Pan African Congress Movement (PACM) is promoting the theme of the Grand African Renaissance for a number of successive African Liberation Day (ALD) conferences. As 2023 will be the second year we use the theme, the title of ALD this year is, The Grand African Renaissance (Part 2).The Grand African Renaissance means that we Africans must have a Grand African Renaissance (or Grand African Renewal or Rebirth) as individuals and as a people, so that we may return to our authentic African culture and modernise it, so that we may manifest our Pan African ideals. This Grand African Renaissance will not be achieved overnight and has to focus on the following areas: Spirituality, Languages, Health, Economics, Politics, Entertainment, Education, Labour, Law, Sex and War.This show is the ALD launch event, an international, and Pan African panel reasoning on: How do we support the Grand African Renaissance individually and as a people?The Pan African, international, panellists are: Baba Professor James Small.A scholar activist, dynamic speaker, and organisational consultant. Palestine and Israel is a well known issue and ongoing conflict that is well known but has been presented to the world in a sugar coated and even simplified way that hides the harsh realities of Palestinian life under Israeli occupation. Missing from the story of Palestine and the Palestinian people is the unequalness of the conflict and that Israel's creation in 1948 didn't bring peace for displaced Palestinians or the wider Middle East. It led to decades of Palestinian society being fractured through Israeli military occupation, a settler colonial state created for Jews at the expense of the indigenous Palestinians, a human rights issue often described as a religious conflict while its modern social and political problems are overlooked.

A new Zulu king has been crowned at a historic event attended by thousands in South Africa's coastal city of Durban.

King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini was formally acknowledged as monarch by President Cyril Ramaphosa, who gave him a certificate of recognition.

The ceremony was the first Zulu coronation since South Africa became a democracy in 1994.

It ends a long and bitter tussle to find a successor for King Goodwill Zwelithini who died last year.
