Human Rights Watch has documented ethnic cleansing in the West Darfur region of Sudan by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and allied militias against the Masalit people and other non-Arab communities. “These allied militia and the RSF then, from April until June, conducted a rampage of killings, of lootings, of torture, of rape,” says Belkis Wille, associate director with the Crisis, Conflict, and Arms Division at Human Rights Watch. She says international actors must cut off the flow of arms to all warring parties, but adds there is little “political will” to enforce an arms embargo in Sudan.

"Cosmic Slop" is a television anthology series that aired on HBO on November 8, 1994. The show consists of three science fiction and fantasy-themed short stories, each dealing with social issues and featuring a predominately African-American cast. The series was created by Reginald Hudlin and Warrington Hudlin, who are known for their work in producing and directing films that highlight African-American culture and experiences.

Decades have passed since Apartheid came to an end, but South Africa remains divided. One reason is the legacy of its urban planning, which forced many Black South Africans to the periphery of cities.
