Medical researchers at Tsinghua University in Beijing have created an AI (Artificial Intelligence) hospital town. It can theoretically serve 3,000 patients per day with a small handful of doctors and staff.

In one example of their optimism in AI, doctors for the project claim that their accuracy in respiratory illness is over 93% on MedQA datasets. Respiratory diseases such as COPD and asthma have notoriously low accuracy in diagnosis and treatment, with high degrees of false positive and false negative diagnoses.

By employing Large Language Models across large virtual populations, and soon in real-world patient populations, China can transform medicine across the whole world. China is already the world's dominant manufacturer of most generic drugs, and is the key maker of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients for the most expensive specialty drugs. Chinese companies are also primary makers of diagnostic equipment and medical devices. With advances in AI, tested across large human populations, personalized medicine may be a reality across most of the world. The US, however, will most certainly employ regulatory and licensing pressure to ensure high prices throughout our healthcare delivery systems.

Our third session, held on 16th December, was dedicated to two speakers, Andy Horn and Eckardt Dauck, who introduced us to two very different ways of building with straw.

Andy Horn who is a South African Architect and Principal of Eco Design Architects with over 24 years of experience demystified the notion of building with straw bales. He also showcased previously completed projects, shared his experiences and findings as well as the various experimentations his firm has done with the material.

We were also delighted about the presence of the founder of Zero Carbon Designs, Eckardt Dauck, who presented to us his made-in-Uganda Zero Carbon straw panel, and how it is being used in construction throughout East Africa.

⁣Following a wave of coups in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger, military regimes have entrenched their rule, established the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), withdrawn from the regional bloc ECOWAS, and dismantled mainly Western-led bilateral and multilateral stabilisation mechanisms. These shifts have caused further disruption to an already unstable region plagued by ever-growing jihadist violence and economic hardship. With multilateralism in retreat, bilateral power dynamics are taking on new roles: Russia, Turkey, Iran and increasingly Qatar and the UAE are vying for diplomatic influence and economic footholds in the region.

At one point the Black Relationship was the hardest to penetrate as both men & women suffered under the cruel hand of oppression and our love of family the vision of survival kept us working together under the hardest of tactics.

Feminism was the tactic employed which initially was not our cause as melanated men nor women had no rights under slavery or colonisation. Not to say the advancement of better equality and opportunity and addressing of domestic violence was not a good thing but it was coupled with conditions set to destroy the black family as its primary objective when issued to so called blacks. This tactic amongst others such as Government intervention of assistance if the man was no longer available through unemployment which leads to destruction of male pride as a protector, benefits due to woman and child only, alcohol and drugs flooding our community, the selling of drugs as an only source of income, and mass incarceration of the male as public enemy No.1 in the 60's & 70's, fostered by support of magazines and shows in the 80's with a promotion of we don't need no men, we can do fine by ourselves, and movie & music industry in the 90's supporting this with gangster rap degrading women and films such as Stella getting her groove, a thin line and more all as a divide and conquer tactic deployed in America initially under the guise of we are progressing yet controlled by the same individuals who had a hand in our demise. in the 2010's the emergence of men responding via what is referred as the manosphere to the point where we now have a full divide, separation and outright disrespect for one another fostered by the new weapon of choice, social media.

This event by the Thursday club intended to address these issues by discussing the term 'Black love' with 3 sets of couples to discuss the ups, downs and all the inbetweens to help empower others to see the importance and evidence that we can, will and must work together first through understanding with a focus on healing the damage, as we are currently continuing without the assistance of Hybrid Europeans to perpetuate destruction on our own future.... Our Children.
