In Part 2, Ọnuọra Abụah travels to Togo (West Africa) to learn more about the Vodun spiritual system and of how Europeans have turned it into a thing of evil.
His journey begins at Kamina and Wahala where WW1's first casualties are found. Onuora then heads south to the enslavement house at Agbodrafo before meeting a Vodun priest near Lomé. Onuora concludes the trip with a visit to a Vodun market. What he learns is Voodoo is really just "Good Magic"

Conversation with Eliciana Nascimiento about The Summer of Gods.
Eliciana's The Summer of Gods follows Lilly, a little Afro Brazilian girl who goes with her mom to visit her grandmother. Her grandmother, a spiritual healer, teaches Lilly of the importance of her roots through stories.
The film is beautifully made and sheds positive light on African descendants practicing their ancestors' spirituality. The little girl playing Lilly is adorable, and the relationships between Lilly and her mother, Lilly and her brother, Lilly and her grandma, are so realistic... so too is the relationship between Lilly and the Orishas.
A gem for African cultural continuity, this film is a must-see for all pan-Africans, all Africans and African Diaspora seeking a clean, positive connection/reconnection to African culture, African spirituality, African religion.
You may shed some tears. But they're the reparative kind, the kind that help you emote as you consider the magnitude of the task ahead of us, only to give you renewed strength as you see that you are not alone, you exist within a continuum of which we are all part, and your efforts are validated and cemented through the space that we all inhabit with our wills, strong a rock, vast and deep as the world of Yemaya herself.
So head over to www.thesummerofgods.com, purchase the film, enjoy it, and embrace every tear that it pulls from your soul, let it be a part of your own rebirth.
Moni Tano is a pan african perspective on topics big and small, from hair to religion, to economics and so on. It is a small effort at parsing through the highly effective program of mental colonization that we have gone through for generations. We decolonize our minds so as to better represent ourselves as defined by a truly informed and truly critical 'us.'

In this presentation Dr. Kamau Rashid discusses the ancient Kemetic (Egyptian) paradigm of order, truth, and justice--Maat and its capacity to inform our continuing efforts to achieve African self-determination in the world today. I also situate isft (the Kemetic paradigm of disorder) as an apt metaphor for the contemporary malaise of Africans in the United States. This lecture occurred at the 2014 conference of the association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations at Essex College in Newark, NJ.
This video shows that the truths of the Bible were stolen from Black
people. This fact was first revealed by the Kongo prophet Simon Kimbangu.
The late Egyptologist Kalala Omutunde also insisted on the fact that the
Romans plundered the library of Alexandria and burned it after having stolen
the contents. However, they didn't know that the same contents were inscribed
deep down in the tombs.
According to Pigafetta, the Portugueses on their arrival at the Kingdom
of Kongo burned the Holy Scriptures of the Kongo people on the ground that they
were about magic.
Today, thanks to the kemetic cosmological argument (KCA) discovered by
our academy Nzil'Alowa, the truths stolen and hidden from the Black is again available.
Divine science is demonstrated to be an exact science.
The scientificity of African traditional religion (ATR) revealed by the
KCA must be reestablished in all the trends of ATR. For, this science is a
powerful tool for the unification of the Black nation and for the defense of
the traditional science and technology bequeathed by our ancestors.

It’s on us to seek after our own power, our own protection and liberty. We can only replace our current thinking when we learn a new way to think that serves us and change our position.

Wild Africa Rivers Of Life Episode 7
October 17, 2023
Hoover Institution | Stanford University
The Hoover History Lab held a new book talk with Stuart A. Reid: The Lumumba Plot: the Secret History of the CIA and a Cold War Assassination (Knopf, 2023) on October 17, 2023 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm.
United States-African relations have multiple dimensions, and quite a bit of history. One aspect involves coups. Almost immediately after Congo became independent from Belgium in 1960, the CIA station in Leopoldville, the capital, received an order from Washington that Congo’s new leader, Patrice Lumumba, should be removed. Congolese rebels, backed by the CIA, assassinated him. Joseph Mobutu, originally a Lumumba loyalist, eventually seized power, also with U.S. backing. Mobutu’s misrule lasted decades, and wreaked devastation. Stuart Reid has uncovered new documents and new aspects to this episode, which formed part of a larger story of the U.S. in the Cold War in what was then called the Third World.
