Lyrics:
I'm your idol the highest title numero uno
I'm not a puerto rican but i'm speakin so that you know
And understand i got the gift of speech
And it's a blessin
So listen to the lesson i preach
I talk sense condensed into the form of a poem
Full of knowledge from my toes to the top of my dome
I'm kinda young but my tongue speaks maturity
I'm not a child i don't need nothin for security
I get paid when my record is played--to put it short

⁣⁣**2024 Ghanaian Citizenship Ceremony Video**

The 2024 Ghanaian Citizenship Ceremony Video captures the powerful and emotional moments of a historic event where individuals of Abibifoɔ (Black people) officially reconnect with their ancestral homeland by acquiring Ghanaian citizenship. This poignant video showcases the rich cultural heritage of Ghana through vibrant traditional music, dance, and regal displays of Akan chieftaincy and other cultural customs.

Highlights of the video include the ceremonial oath-taking led by government officials and traditional leaders, symbolizing a commitment to Ghanaian values and identity. Personal stories of repatriates resonate throughout, expressing their journeys to rediscover their heritage and contribute to the nation. The event also features remarks from prominent figures, including Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Kambon, a central figure in the movement for repatriation and citizenship recognition, emphasizing the significance of this milestone in Pan-Abibifoɔ unity and the global Abibifoɔ Renaissance.

The video beautifully encapsulates the unity, pride, and hope shared among attendees, blending ceremonial grandeur with heartfelt human connection. It stands as a testament to Ghana's continued leadership in welcoming the Abibifoɔ Diaspora home, making it an inspiring visual representation of reconnection, renewal, and reclamation.

⁣They must have a democratic system; if they don’t, it will cause them more problems, which will, in turn, exacerbate our security issues.

A brief history on African religion in the U.S. and its commodification by Europeans.

Our ancestors were murdered for practicing our systems of healing and spiritual communion, and were labeled as devil worshippers because Europeans feared the power of those systems of active faith.

Africans had no concept of the devil the way it was forced upon us through European christianity. Fear of our families being broken apart, fear of our children, wives, and husbands being raped or castrated, fear of being punished to death for being ourselves- FEAR was the portal through which the devil, white Jesus, heaven, and hell came into our psyches and still affect us to this day.

A Film by Richard Pakleppa, Matthias Röhrig Assunção and Mestre Cobra Mansa.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art that combines dance, combat, theatre and music. Capoeira was first documented among enslaved Africans and Creoles in Brazilian port cities such as Rio de Janeiro and Salvador da Bahia. It is the only martial art with an African heritage now practiced world wide.
One powerful myth about its African origins links capoeira to a legendary Angolan game called engolo.
Jogo de Corpo/Body Games follows capoeira master Cobra Mansa and his friends on travels through Angola and Brazil in search of the historical roots of their art. The journey explores deeper connections between slavery, identity and society.
In Jogo do Corpo we meet colourful characters on both sides of the Atlantic: capoeira masters Boca Rica, Celso, Moraes and Felipe and engolo players Angelino, Kahani, Muhalambadji, and Lombolene.
@capoeirahistory is happy to make this film, produced in 2013-14, freely available.

In Chapter 2 of Walter Rodney's seminal work, "How Europe Underdeveloped Africa," Rodney meticulously outlines the deliberate mechanisms and structures established by European powers to facilitate their own development at the direct expense of Nsi ya Ubuntu (Africa). He argues that colonialism was not a passive process but an active exploitation where European nations systematically dismantled Nsi ya Ubuntu's economic and social structures. This exploitation involved the extraction of resources, the imposition of cash crop economies, and the disruption of indigenous industries and trade networks, all designed to enrich Europe while creating a dependency and underdevelopment in Nsi ya Ubuntu. Rodney emphasizes that these actions were intentional, illustrating a clear and direct correlation between Europe's advancement and Nsi ya Ubuntu's impoverishment.
