This video explores the concept of the "Imaginary White Man"—a metaphor for internalized colonial mindsets that continue to oppress African people. We discuss how this mindset divides communities, fosters distrust, and perpetuates systemic inequalities. It’s time to reject this internalized oppression, recognize the real issues, and come together for unity and progress. Let’s stop seeing each other as the problem and embrace collective empowerment.

In 2024, Brazil recorded an almost 70 percent year-on-year increase in cases of discrimination and attacks on religious practices, according to the ministry of human rights. The main victims are religions of African origin, such as Umbanda and Candomblé. Their followers are threatened and their religious temples destroyed and ransacked. This intolerance is fuelled by branches of evangelical Christianity: Pentecostal and neo-Pentecostal churches, whose numbers have soared in Brazil in recent years. FRANCE 24's Louise Raulais and Jan Onoszko report.

Welcome back to the 2nacheki channel. Migrants were seen sitting on the ground, guarded by police after being recaptured by Libyan security forces, Tripoli, Friday. The people were recaptured following an escape attempt from Al-Mabani detention centre, with at least six people killed during the recapture, according to media reports citing the International Organisation for Migration. Around 3,000 people are thought to have been held in the facility and the area around it, with the number three times exceeding the area's capacity. Many people are thought to have escaped during the shooting, the exact reason of which remains unclear

This is a film about Gīcandī - an ancient Agīkūyū poem made up of elegantly elaborate enigmas, which were sung on public markets by two specially trained initiated people in competition.

The rattle used to accompany the song was a bottle-shaped gourd, specially prepared by a seer: it bore, carved in it's side, writings in the mnemonic-pictorial system, the only specimen of this kind to be found among the Bantu tribes of Afrika!
