In this video I compare and contrast Capitalism and the Afrikan Mode of Production.

There are three main takeaways:

Capitalism is absolutely NOT the same thing as commerce
Capitalism is absolutely NOT the same thing as businesses
Capitalism is absolutely NOT the same thing as currencies

Afrikan centered economic systems existed long before capitalism and will continue to exist long after it.

NEW HIP HOP - Peace and Blessings Beloved!!!

It's your comrade and word-warrior Jah-I-Witness Emcee reaching out once again to ask for your help in spreading a higher level consciousness in hip hop music and our community. This time I'm tackling a topic that has received much attention, dialogue, and controversy within the black community, as well as American culture (or the lack thereof depending on your perspective) for many years. That topic is NIGGAS, rather the use of the term nigger/nigga to refer to individuals who are descended from black, African ancestry.

Long considered a derogatory term used by the white ruling class to belittle members of the oppressed black populace, the term has been morphed into a term of endearment, which the once ridiculed now use freely and affectionately among each other. Some argue that this is a result of generations of brainwashing and conditioning. Others argue that the adoption and acceptance of the term, somehow decreases the power and negative stigma of the controversial "N-Word".

Recently with the increasing listenership of hip hop music, there has been an observed phenomenon of individuals who have begun to incorporate the "N-Word" into their everyday vernacular, and even go as far as to affectionately refer to each other as "Niggas", worldwide. Once a term exclusively used by the descendants of enslaved African kings, is now uttered from the mouths of white, Latino, Asian, and many other ethnicities worldwide.

Well before things get too out of hand... I wanted to make sure that everyone remembers without question, where it all began (or at least perfected). So after divine inspiration in the wee hours of the morning, I created this video for my song "MADE IN THE USA" to give visual support to this edgy S.L.G track.

The track itself was produced by my bredren St. Paul and is featured on my last project entitled "The Struggle, The Love, The Glory". The track also features verses from my long time Simply Laced collaborator, Kinetic. As stated previously, the video was directed and edited by myself, and was shot on location in my studio, The King's Chamber, with a flip cam and two cigarette lighters (believe it or not...lol!!!).

Take a second to check out and enjoy the video and please do not hesitate to join in the dialogue. Also share this video with those that you know would enjoy it, or those that you know need it.

As always give thanks and praises for supporting the artists that support the culture!!!

For anyone searching for a reason to love Hip Hop again, Simply Laced Music Group is the destination for that Hip Hop fix...

Thank you existing Patrons.Follow me on Twitter:https://twitter.com/NealSendlak1Osiris may have been an early Egyptian king whose triumphs inspired myth and legends that eventually portrayed him as a god who defied death and represented eternal life. For the ancient Egyptians, the story of Osiris is one of tragedy and hope; it is nothing less than the promise of everlasting life. Osiris, god of the dead, was also the “Triumphant” One and the “Lord of Eternity.” John Ray, a reader in Egyptology at the University of Cambridge, writes that Osiris was “Onnofri,” meaning “the perfect or complete being.” According to Plutarch, writing around AD 120, Osiris will eventually rise again to govern Egypt. The Osiris legend is perhaps the oldest resurrection story of the ancient world. The Birth and Death of Osiris According to scholars of Ancient Egyptian religion, Osiris might have been an early king of a small state on the Nile delta. He was credited with introducing early Egyptians to the cultivation of grain, wheat, and barley and ending the practice of cannibalism. Osiris was the law-giver and taught Egyptians how to worship the gods. Osiris was hated by his brother Set who contrived to murder him upon his return to Egypt; after teaching the Egyptians, Osiris traveled to western Asia, teaching other cultures. Along with 72 other conspirators, Set invited Osiris to a party during which he tricked his brother into climbing into a specially made coffin. Once inside, the lid was flung over the coffin and it was sealed, suffocating Osiris. The coffin was then floated down the Nile. Leaving her son, Horus the Younger, under the protection of the cobra goddess, Isis searched for her husband’s body, finding it in Byblos where the coffin had become part of an immense tree that had been cut down and used to build the palace of the king. Securing the coffin, Isis returned to Egypt. The Resurrection of Osiris While Isis retrieved her son, Set found the coffin and tore the body of Osiris to pieces. Some scholars suggest 14, other cite 16 pieces. Isis again traveled the land of Egypt, collecting the body parts yet burying copies of each part in different cities to confuse her enemies. Traditionally, however, the “tomb” of Osiris was considered to be at Abydos, the site of mass pilgrimages by Egyptians desiring to become Osiris in death. Through her magical abilities and the help of Thoth, Isis revived Osiris but as king of the underworld where he ruled and judged the dead in the Hall of Two Truths. Although the story of Osiris may predate the Old Kingdom, John Ray states that the earliest fragmentary accounts come out of the fifth and sixth dynasties Pyramid Texts yet by the First Intermediate Period all Egyptians followed the funerary practices of the story to make them “Osiris,” identifying with the god. According to social anthropologist Sir James Frazer, “In the resurrection of Osiris the Egyptians saw the pledge of a life everlasting for themselves beyond the grave.” (246) The story of Osiris is certainly far more complicated that this overview and readers are encouraged to consult the sources. This includes the lamentation of the god’s death by Isis as well as the yearly celebratory feast – all, in a sense, reenactments of his death and incarnation, often compared to similar rites associated with Dionysus.Read more at: https://www.shorthistory.org/a....ncient-civilizations #osiris #resurrection --Contents:00:00 - Teaser/Intro01:53 - Osiris and Bodily Resurrection06:38 - Mummies and Saints08:36 - "Eternal Life" Egyptian Mimicry11:17 - Egyptian Social Hierarchy18:35 - Christian/Egyptian Magic10:50 - Isis and Osiris (Masturbating Gods)26:15 - Egyptian Trinities27:53 - Horus, Eros, Plato, and Mary31:19 - Churches on Pagan Holy Places35:45 - Osiris's Erections37:50 - Evolution of Egyptian Doctrine40:52 - Diodorus on the Eucharist43:56 - Attis Hymn, Christian Forgery45:30 - Egyptians Invented Satan47:30 - Satan and Set, Yahweh the Storm God52:45 - Set in the Temple?

Thursday, June 13th 1974.

Footage of Samora Machel, the leader of FRELIMO (Frente de Libertação/Mozambique Liberation Front), the African guerrilla movement then seeking independence from Portugal rejecting a peace proposal from the new Portuguese government, a military regime which had overthrown the right-wing authoritarian Estado Novo regime on April 25th 1974.

Speaking at an OAU Summit in Mogadishu, Somalia, Machel described Portuguese colonialism in southern Africa as "the most decadent and corrupt form of foreign domination."

Reuters Text:

The leader of the Mozambique Liberation Front (Frelimo), Mr. Samora Machel, rejected the proposals out of hand. He said the portuguese proposals - which include a referendum and the pledge of self-determination -- were insults to the people of Mozambique.

Mr. Machal described Portugal's policies in Mozambique as "the most decadent and corrupt forms of foreign domination", and he claimed conditions were now favourable for their destruction. The guerrilla leader said constant work by Frelimo had alerted the masses to the justice of their cause and their battle against the Portuguese. Although the territory was still under military occupation, " the manifestations" in all urban centres had demonstrated the solidarity of the Mozambique people.

Without distinction, the people - of all races, ethnic groups, religious beliefs and social origins - were demanding national independence and total adherence to the principles and programmes of Frelimo. Mr. Machel said the determination and unity was forged in clandestine battle, in suffering and in torture, in prison and in concentration camps". He said the ten-year guerrilla war, directed by Frelimo, had strengthened the determination and unity of the Mozambique people against "colonialist aggression." Later in his speech, Mr. Machel referred to the dialogue now under way between Frelimo and the Portuguese Government.

He said it could not develop into proper negotiations until Portugal recognised Mozambique's right to total and absolute independence. He added that Frelimo would also have to be recognised as the Mozambique people's legitimate representative.
