Ghana Parliament unanimously passed the anti-LGBTQ bill in February 2024.

Now, it is up to President Nana Akufo-Addo: to sign or not to sign the ant-LGBTQ bill into law.

Vice President of the United States of America, Kamala D. Harris: “President Akufo-Addo, if you sign this anti-LGBTQ bill into law in Ghana, we are going to suspend the $3.8 billion dollars IMF loan.”

President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo: “Yes, Vice President Harris, I will not sign the anti-LGBTQ bill into law.”
