⁣Slavery was beneficial for Blsck people.
Slavery was a choice.
If it wasn’t for slavery bringing my ancestors to America, I would be worshiping a tree somewhere in a poor village in
Africa.

Great doctor, better farmer! It would take a family tragedy to launch this young doctor’s impressive farming career. Following his elder brother Rotham’s tragic passing in a car accident, Obakeng Mfikwe found himself increasingly having to take off time from his medical practice in Fourways in Johannesburg to help his ageing dad with the family’s communal cattle farming at Beestekraal, close to Jericho in North West. And the more he farmed, the more he found himself enjoying it. When he finally took the plunge and bought his first few cows, he knew he was well and truly hooked. So he closed his medical practice and started farming full-time, and within just a few years, achieved some great successes. His Simmentaler and Simbra cattle studs have already won several awards, and he also plants more than a 1000 ha of maize, sunflower and fodder crops on several farms in the North West and Magaliesberg.

Compassion in World Farming webinar and Q&A exploring the links between farmed animals and zoonotic diseases with Global CEO, Philip Lymbery and Chief Policy Advisor, Peter Stevenson. Compassion’s mission to end factory farming and transform our outdated food system is as relevant as ever and an important bio-security strategy to protect animals and people from zoonotic diseases. In response to the pandemic, we are calling on the world’s most influential organisations, including The World Bank, the United Nations and the World Health Organisation, to agree to replace factory farming with a food system that respects animals, nurtures our planet, and reduces the risk of pandemics. We urge you to add your voice for a future without factory farming by signing the petition https://bit.ly/2XNO0Xm. If you can, we would also be grateful if you could please make a donation to help protect farm animal welfare and secure an alternative food system for a better future for all. https://bit.ly/3dQAqIo

The late, great Dr. Wilson was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1940. Familiarly referred to as Brother Amos, has provided the average person with an acute analysis of where we are and the things that affect us. He served as a council to energize our race and those in positions of influence as to how to carry out their leadership responsibilities.
Dr.Wilson's activities transcended academia into the fields of business, owning and operating various enterprises in the greater New York area.

Blueprint for Black Power details a master plan for the power revolution necessary for Black survival in the 21st century.

Blueprints suggests that an African American/Caribbean/Pan-African bloc would be most potent for the generation and delivery of Black power in the United States and the World to counter White and Asian power networks.

Wilson frames this imperative by deconstructing the U.S. elite power structure of government, political parties, think tanks, corporations, foundations, media, interest groups, banking and foreign investment particulars.

Potentially strong Black institutions as the church, media and think tanks; industry; collectives such as investment clubs and credit unions; rotating credit associations such as Afrikan-originated esusu, tontine and partner are analyzed. Pan-Afrikanism, Black Nationalism, ethnocentrism and reparation are assessed, often misused and underused financial institutions as securities, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, underwriting, and incubators advocated, thus elucidating oft-negated opportunities for economic empowerment.

Full presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1GFqTGpvzg

This is the fuller version of the presentation I delivered at the Re-Engaging Pan-Africanism Conference at Birmingham City University, Dec 2018.

The presentation explores the relationship between Culture & Economics as an attempt to:
Rescue "culture" from reductive definitions by demonstrating the relationship between it & economic development.
Demonstrate how revolutionary movements have pursued economic development from a culturally appropriate foundation.
Its pre-recorded, but will be broadcast with a live chat. I look forward to hearing your feedback.

Khalid Muhammad (born Harold Moore Jr.; January 12, 1948 – February 17, 2001) was a black nationalist leader in the United States who became a prominent figure in the Nation of Islam and later the New Black Panther Party. After a racially inflammatory 1993 speech at Kean College, Muhammad was condemned and removed from his position in the Nation of Islam by Louis Farrakhan. He was also censured by both Houses of the United States Congress.

After being removed from the Nation of Islam he served as the National Chairman of the New Black Panther Party until his death in 2001 from a brain aneurysm. Despite the controversy that followed him, he was strong and unapologetic in support of black independence and stated personal practice of anti-miscegenation. - Wikipedia

⁣What happens before, during, and after the
process called death? This video gives the answer to this query in the light of
Bukôngo, the Kongo religion, as a divine exact science. It shows that death is
a mere trip from a dream of mortal existence to another dream less material.
Death needs not to be a frightening experience. For, to those who are
enlightened it is a meeting with the kin who are in the beyond.
