Welcome back to Powered by Nyame! Glad you could join for yet another episode. In this week's installment, we focus on the concepts of paradise and plantation and zero in on slavery as a power relationship that taps, ultimately, the spirit/energy or spiritual power base of the enslaved. Power is genderless and race-less, which means a "slave" is a de-personalized thing, a prop, that has relinquished their power base to an individual, institution, or another authority. We experience paradise on the backs of plantation lives, but what if the those lives denied paradise and reclaimed their spiritual power base? What kind of just(ified) world might we have?

The world we live in, is an anti- black society. This world is an anti-black world.
This is what happens when someone colonizes you, put a gun to your head and tells you that everything African, everything Black is evil, bad, ugly, dirty, devil, demonic, hell, suffering, satan, monkey, primitive, backwards, dumb, stupid, uncivilized, corrupt, dishonest, immoral, childish, failure, savage, weak, submissive, darkness, poverty, slave, servant, plantation; and everything European, everything white is good, clean, pure, god, beauty, advanced, bright, smart, intelligent, genius, civilized, forward thinking, light, leader, honest, moral, guardian, master, power, strength, success, wealth, human, angel, enjoyment, heaven, paradise. The worst and sad part is the person who is being colonized, the person who the gun is being pointed at actually and literally believes EVERYTHING that is being said to him and about him and he internalize it. Eventually this mindset is passed on from one generation to the next generation, to the next generation, to the next generation until it becomes normalized in ALL aspect of a person life.
