What happens when a country finally decides it’s tired of playing dress-up in someone else’s clothes? Burkina Faso just threw a massive wrench in the whole colonial hangover; ditching the ridiculous wigs and gowns that have been clinging to the country’s legal system like a bad fashion trend. But this isn’t about fashion, is it? No, it’s about power, pride, and throwing colonialism out the door. Imagine for a second; what if your whole legal system was dressed in the same outfits used by the people who once ruled over you?
Feels ridiculous, right? Well, that's exactly what Burkina Faso just dumped. But here’s the thing: this decision isn’t just about style. It's about Africa finally saying, “We’re done with this nonsense.” It’s a powerful rejection of the colonial mindset that’s been ingrained into the African psyche for far too long. But what does it mean?
Let’s find out.

In the remote Ohio town of East Jackson, which sits in the Appalachian foothills, residents have for decades identified as black – despite the fact they appear white. Tom Silverstone and Francisco Navas visit a place where residents' racial lines have been blurred to invisibility.
Africa: War is Business reveals how war economies come into being in Africa, and how they are maintained. The film investigates the causes and effects of these economies, and where we as Western consumers fit into the equation.
The film follows Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme, son of Princess Irene of the Netherlands, as he travels through Sierra Leone, Liberia and Congo looking for the cause of these wars in Africa and the role the continent's natural resources play in creating conflict. He wonders how countries so rich in these resources could be so overwhelmed by poverty.

Humanity has a monogenetic or singular origin that according to Mitochondria DNA traces back to the Twa 144,000 years ago. The Twa, are also the author's of African and world civilization, and they are the creators of Kemetic (Egyptian) civilization. At a time when Black families and Black extended family communities are weaker than any time in our history, the Twa provide many lessons for strengthening Back families and extended family communities, as well as African nations and global families.
