Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative has plowed billions of dollars into infrastructure projects in Africa. That’s given Beijing prime access to the mining resources that will underpin the upcoming technology, energy and transport revolutions.

Now the US has fully awakened to China’s ambitions. President Joe Biden is championing new investment in a railway that will transport copper and other minerals from Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the Angolan port of Lobito. But is it too late for the US to catch up?

This video is really telling; the United States ONLY wants to ‘invest’ in Africa because of an ulterior motives of ‘catching up’ with China’s influence and investments in Africa.

Nana Amos Wilson once said, he wished that Africa had NO natural resources so that it will force the African to use his brains, his mind, his intellect.
Japan which has NO natural resources and minerals is a superpower on the world stage.

The subtitle of this video is very telling; “Vying for Africa’s minerals.” Both China and the United States are in Africa for Africa’s minerals and natural resources. This is all a geopolitical game and we all have to wait to see who is going to come up on top. Is it going to be us, the Africans, or is it going to be the foreigners, China or the United States.
