Marcus Garvey called us the "scientifically weaker race" (which is still true today), and instructed us to "make sure we have a race of scientists par excellence". He understood then that our lack of involvement in science puts us at a huge disadvantage. How can we nation build and protect ourselves without being engage in STEM?
