The European men married Afrikan women to gain wealth and power. The Afrikan women married European to gain prestige and opportunities within the community.

This white lady is full of it; saying that the Dutch were not colonizers. The Dutch were literally buying and selling enslaved Afrikans and shipping them across the globe. And the Dutch helped introduce racial hierarchy on the Gold Coast. To me that’s colonization.
