This is your Week 22 Igbo language practice session from Igbo Daily Drops — 15 sentences learnt over the past week in Igbo daily drops, built for real-life use. Commands, requests, questions, and the kind of warm, human phrases that make the difference between knowing a language and living in it.

Work through each sentence at your own pace. You will hear it once, then again — then it is your turn. The sentences this week move from saying where you are located, who you are , to asking who others are.

The Igbo sentences we learnt this week are :
Ọ dị mma. — It is good.
Ahụ dị m mma. — I am well.
Unu a dị mma? — Are you all fine?
O tere aka. — It is far.
Ọ dị nso. — It is near.
Kedu ebe o dị? — Where is it?
Ọ dị ọku — It is hot
Biko, wetara m ihe dị ọku — Please, bring me something hot
Ị nwere change? — Do you have change?
Ọ dị arọ. — It is heavy.
Ọ dị mfe. — It is light, or easy.
Ọ dị arọ maka na ọ dị nnukwu. — It is heavy because it is large.
Nri dị ọkụ ma dikwa mma — The food is hot and it is good.
Ụlọ anyị dị nso — Our house is near.
Ego ole ka o bụ? — How much is it?

This is the language your family carried. Now it is yours to carry too.
