Zanj-Black
-Zanj or Zang in Persian means Black for "country of the Blacks" or “land of the Blacks.” Other transliterations include Zenj, Zinj, and Zang.

-Zanj or Zang is a Persian term used by medieval Muslims slave traders to refer to both Southeast Africa (primarily the Swahili Coast) and its Black inhabitants.

Zanzibar-The Coast of the Blacks
-The name Zanzibar comes from the name of a local people, Zanj, which means "Black," and the Arabic word barr, which means "coast" or "shore.”

-The name Zanj for Blacks still remains in the name of Zanzibar meaning “Coast of the Blacks”.
