"When two brothers fight, a stranger inherits the land."

An ongoing land dispute between two traditional rulers has the local population in disarray. Meanwhile, the United Nations are coming up with a plan to extract a very rare mineral (which has the potential of advancing their technological ambitions 10x more than gold, cobalt, bauxite and diamonds combined). With an existing foothold in the local presbyterian churches, the UN look to leverage disloyal (phenotypically) Black preachers to assist with obtaining access to the land without causing a fuss with the local community. Fortunately the Nananom are well aware of this ploy, and alert mktyw kmt (Defenders of the Black Land), who immediately take action.

The conversation also moves through Agya Kwadwo’s first trip to Ghana, the spiritual connection to his great-grandmother, buying land for generations yet unborn, joining the xmnw Medjay Community, Mama Kenya preparing for her first Sankɔfa Journey, and the legacy they are building so their children and future generations have an ancestral option to return, grow, and live as whole Black people.

We discuss the origins of the film festival, the need for independent Black-controlled media spaces, the transition from the original Film Festival idea into the Abibitumi/Abibifahodie Film Festival, and the development of Abibiwiase as an upcoming television show. The conversation also moves through the Open D.O.O.R. Dialogues, including the role of the University of Ghana, the College of Humanities, and endorsements from major Ghana institutions. This is a conversation about building Black venues, Black media, Black conferences, Black festivals, and Black institutional power without waiting for stench approval.

We begin with Akosua, as she shares the Blacktastic work she has already started building through her Twi teaching show "Akosua & Afia Agorɔ", popcorn making videos "Akosua’s Crunchy Creations", and her interests in fashion, baking, singing, dancing and so much more. We discuss her recent experience on the Sankɔfa Journey 2025, including the Abibitumi Conference, and her first plane ride to Burkina Faso. Her section is a living reminder that Black children do not have to wait until adulthood to use their talents towards contributing to building Abibifahodie (Black Liberation).

We then Link Up with Akosua's Agya, Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Bakari Kambon for the beginning of a two-part discussion. In this first portion we cover the inspiration behind building Abibitumi and the 20-year journey of development, the move from Abibitumi Kasa as Black Power Language into a broader all-Black ecosystem, and the work of turning a Black digital space into a Black physical model through Abibitumi headquarters and the xmnw Medjay Community. The conversation also moves through his upcoming book, "The Construction of Black Civilization, Vol. 1", Mdw Ntr, primary source research, and what it means to stop treating Black Power as theory and start building it in every area of human activity.
