A European Ambassador Has No Right to Lecture Ghana

In a blatant display of diplomatic overreach, outgoing Swiss Ambassador Simone Giger has attempted to lecture Ghana on its own governance. By publicly criticizing the centralization of power within the Ghanaian presidency, Giger has overstepped her role and insulted the nation's sovereignty. It is time to end the cycle of Western diplomats dictating how African countries should be run; Ghana’s constitutional and political matters belong to Ghanaians alone.
