The guest is ashamed of his white British European enslaver colonizer ancestry so he is claiming indigenous Awarak/Taino ancestry.
The Awarak/Taino ancestry that was completely wiped out by the diseases and advanced weaponry of the Spanish and British soldiers.

In my research of the Maroon society in Jamaica, it has always been the Akan, the Kongo, Igbo and Yoruba culture and traditions that were the predominant cultural influence in the Maroon society of Jamaica, so I don’t know where the guest is getting his history from that the indigenous Taino and Awarak people had a great influence and impact in the culture and traditions of the Maroon society. By the time the enslaved Africans got on the island of Jamaica the Taino and the Arawak were non existence because the Spanish and the British almost wiped them off the planet with their diseases and advanced weaponry.

Didn't watch as yet, just didn't wanna be on jewtube, but I am curious to see how the discussion went (given the channel and the subject matter), BUT I will say this arawak/taino thing reveals how little is known about what is Afrikan=Kmtyw=Black because of how the indoctrination factory called school is set up in Jamaica. Even the idea that the name is arawak is stupid -- it's likely an Akan phrase

@T. Y. Adodo: The guest said the indigenous Awarak/Taino people is a big part of his ancestry and lineage. He is ashamed of his white British European ancestry so he is claiming indigenous Awarak/Taino ancestry. He is saying the foundation of Jamaican culture and Maroon culture is Taino/Arawak. He said the word Maroon is an indigenous Awarak/Taino word instead of a Spanish word. Again before the enslaved Africans were shipped to island of Jamaica, the Awarak/Taino people were almost genocide by the diseases and weaponry of the Spanish and British. He said calling yourself Black is not an identity, it is a legal status(Moorish sovereignty talking points). He said, “the idea that slaves in Jamaica were uncomfortable is a lie. Slave in Jamaica were paid for their work in Jamaica.” He said the English of Jamaica people don’t sound like Africans, when they speak.

@T. Y. Adodo: I didn’t finish watching it because of all the stupidity, anti-Afrikan/anti-Black rhetoric coming out of his mouth.

Every body knows that Nanny was 100% African, Asante Akan ancestry, so why is the guest downplaying Nanny African ancestry and somehow trying to make it seem that Nanny Maroon’s cultural foundation was based on the indegenious Arawak and Taino people?
It has been proven by historical evidence that by the time the enslaved Africans got on the island of Jamaica, most of the Arawak and Taino people had been completely wiped out or close to being completely wiped out and genocide out of existence by the diseases that the Spanish and British brought to the islands and by the killings and murders that the Arawak and Taino people suffered in hands of the Spanish and British colonialist soldiers on the island of Jamaica.

I thought the indigenous people, the Arawak and Taino people of Jamaica were completely wiped out or almost completely wiped out by the Spanish and British before the enslaved Africans got onto the island of Jamaica?

Why do I get the impression that the guest is downplaying the importance of African ancestry and culture in the Moroon society in Jamaica?
