Putin holds talks with Chadian leader Deby

Russian President Vladimir Putin conducts negotiations with Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby in Moscow on Wednesday, January 24. The leaders are scheduled to discuss prospects for the development of Russian-Chadian relations, as well as issues on the regional and international agenda. Deby is serving as transitional president of the country. The Republic of Chad gained independence from France in 1960.
