This group is specifically from Timbiqui, Cauca, a Pacific Coastal town in the biogeographic Choco region. Timbiqui is also the name of the river where the community of Timbiqui is located. This song is about singing to the river asking for a safe passage, to let them go up the river, don't drown us (no me vayas a hogar), don't wet us (no me vayas a mojar), let me go up (dejame subi').
