The AES Must Learn From The Downfall of Nana Kwame Nkrumah

For the west, The most important objective of Nana Kwame Nkrumah’s overthrow in Ghana was to eliminate the sovereign leadership, the Pan-African leadership, the nationalist leadership of Kwame Nkrumah’s government, and pivot Ghana into a fully pro-western interest country.
And today, Ghana is a fully pro-western aligned, especially a pro-American aligned country. Ghana is constantly being promoted to Black people as a symbol of a stable (western) democratic country in the region of West Africa. Never mind the economic hardship that the people of Ghana are facing on a daily basis.
That’s why the U.S. State Department is very quick to announce to the world that “Ghana is a very close ally on the Continent.”
This a the legacy that is left in Ghana after the overthrow of Nana Kwame Nkrumah —a pro-western, a pro-American country.
