⁣Before you visit Badagry, you need to understand what happened here.

Behind the beautiful coastline, historic buildings and tourist attractions lies one of the darkest chapters in African history.

In this video, I journey through some of Badagry’s most important slave trade sites. From the Seriki Williams Abass Brazilian Baracoon to the infamous Slave Route and the Point of No Return.

I wanted to understand what the millions of Africans who passed through places like this truly experienced.

What happened before they reached the ships?
Where were they kept?
And what did it mean to take that final journey toward a destination from which many would never return?

A story of pain, survival, loss, and a chapter of African history that should never be forgotten.

Watch until the end. Some of the things you are about to see and hear may change the way you see the transatlantic slave trade forever.

📍 Location: Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬
