Peer can be afɛ or tipɛn. Adamfo (correct spelling due to homorganic nasal assimilation as reflected in the orthography) comes from the verb dan - to depend upon and best translates as friend in contradistinction to ɔtamfo - the root verb of which is tan - to hate. To this point, one's adamfo is not always necessarily in one's peer group, but one's afɛ or tipɛn is, by definition, one's peer. It has nothing to do with adan, the plural form of ɛdan translating to houses.

Also, nhyɛsoɔ is literal like oppression, but I think in this context ɔgyegyefoɔ would be better as it refers to someone who tempts or urges someone to do what he/she otherwise would not do.

foɔ is also the +animate +human suffix. It can be used to denote plurals or, in the case of the singular, it can distinguish professions, that which one does habitually n.a.
