Great discussion. I’m going to be 40 this year and upon reflection, I have the most fun and confidence in the areas where knowledge and passion are aligned. On the flip side, in areas where I have the knowledge and skillset, but have no passion/interest I become irritable, stressed, and my body tightens up and I gain weight.
Prayer, libation, reflection, are great tools to reaffirm and or relieve stress. They all should be tools to balance the aspects that make up the self.
Blacknificent discussion. What I took away from this was that one should not devote time to only prayer or libation, or even rely on that as a primary source of one’s life changing, rather, it is like an appetizer to the main meal: taking action. It is also important to mention that when I say prayer, I’m not referring to praying to krakka god/jesus/mohammed/etc. And Asante for mentioning the book by Baba Fu-Kiau; his work is an important one that we should all have.
Blacktastic conversation my takeaway from this is there are things that we do not know completly about this subject. I feel that the power is in us we can control our own destiny. We have been taught in some cases that the power is in someone or something else to change our llives and through this we give someone or something else the responsiblity for our life when we do this we leave ourselves subject to that person. So my conclusion is YOU ARE THE GOD if you need one choose yourself.
