Some films do more than document a problem. They alter what an audience is able to see. You Hide Me made the concealment of Afrikan cultural heritage visible and turned the camera into an instrument of recovery.

At the opening of the Abibitumi Abibifahodie Film Festival 2026, Nii Kwate Owoo will receive the Legacy Award before the film is screened. AAFF runs October 16–18 at Ozone Cinema in Accra with a hybrid format for viewers beyond the venue.
