Dr. Obadele Kambon became a Ghanian citizen in 2016 in a historic ceremony. The road has been long getting more Diasporans citizenship and helping people who want to move and live in Ghana. He and others have been working for the last almost 3 years to have the processed opened up to more Diasporans. Over the last several months, headway has been made, official vetting interviews have taken place, and legal documents have been signed.
In Ghana, the pathway to citizenship is not easier because you have a relative who is a citizenship. But thanks to the combined efforts of Dr. Kambon, The minitry of the Future, and others, unprecendented changes have happened.
On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, all the Kambons were sworn in by the President of Ghana at the Jubilee House presidential palace in another landmark ceremonial event where Dr. Kambon along with others has helped secure dual citizenship for 126+ Afrikans from the Diaspora.
Included are Warrior Elder Baba Dr. Kamau, Dr. Mama Mawiyah, Nataki, and Kala Kambon (Dr. Obadele Kambon's wife) and their children, Ama Kambon, age 11, Kwaku Kambon 6, and Akosua Kambon, 4.
