Kick back this week and enjoy the summer weather with some smooth jazz from Carmen McRae with her album “I’m Coming Home Again”. Carmen was an American jazz singer who is considered one of the most influential jazz vocalists of the 20th century. This album includes versions of classic pop tracks of the time, including “I Won't Last a Day Without You”, “Everything Must Change”, and Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind”. These tracks are much more than simple covers, with the backing of Hubbard, Crawford, Laws and Grover Washington Jr., creating almost completely new tracks.

Check out our playlist on YouTube for more Carmen Mcrae and tons of other Unidisc music that will get you moving.

Great playing, track and arrangement from JJ Johnson. You tend to forget he is on trombone when listening as his tone and delivery is so smooth like Trumpet. Milt Jackson and Ray Brown are also present.
