Don’t Believe. Know
Do Not Believe. Have Knowledge
“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books or in any book.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been passed down from generations to generations (our Ancestors have been doing this tradition since time immemorial, our forefathers and foremothers have been doing this tradition since the beginning of time)
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
—A Buddha quote (This is not a promotion or an endorsement of the Buddha religion. It is a powerful quote that everyone should live by, especially in the Black Community=Abibiman=Kmt.
“In some parts of the world, particularly Europe, particularly Western Europe, Christianity is becoming obsolete, the church seems to be dying. But in most parts of the world (Africa), Christianity seems to be thriving very much. And not just Christianity but Islam and other religions are thriving (in Africa). When people are suffering, and are in pain and misery, that is when people turn to religion. People turn to religions as a guide and help, that is why religion tends to do better in that part of the world.”
