—The promotion of self-esteem and self-pride of Black People and Black Communities.
—Validate and promote Black=African Aesthetic and Black=African Standards of Beauty.
—Recognize and promote cultures originating from the African Continent.
—Awareness of racial issues, policies, and agendas against and affecting Black People.
—Exposing, dismantling, destroying, and knocking down racist political policies and agendas, injustices, prejudices, discrimination, oppression, unjust treatments, violence and abuses against Black People.
—Raise awareness of the importance of cohesion and unity among Black People.
—Understanding the importance of the Independence Struggle on the African Continent.
—Reflect on the appreciation of African Cultural Roots.
—Serves as a catalyst for the Affirmation of Black Identity.

The Black Consciousness Movement emerged in South Africa, led by The Great The Honorable Nana Steve Bantu Biko:
