PETITION TO PRESIDENT MAHAMA ON CITIZENSHIP AND REPRESENTATION FOR THE HISTORIC DIASPORA
Ghana has called the Historic Diaspora home. Now the process must match the promise.
The Black Agenda calls on Ghanaians, Historic Diasporans, residents, descendants of those displaced through enslavement, organizations, institutions, and all well-meaning stakeholders to join us in petitioning President Mahama and the Government of Ghana for a fair, transparent, affordable, family-inclusive pathway to citizenship, with real Historic Diaspora seats at the table.
This means reviewing the GH¢25,000 fee, ending surprise timelines, removing DNA as a blanket requirement, creating accountable representation, and building a year-round process rooted in reparative justice.
