Jesus Arrested
“51: A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him, 52: he fled naked, leaving his garment behind.” King James Version, New International Version.
In the original Greek Text of Mark, it did not say a ‘young man,’ it says a young boy, a pre-teenage boy, an underage boy was following Jesus. All of the books in the New Testament was written in Greek first, all of them. The New Testament was initially not written in Hebrew or Latin or English or French or Spanish. The New Testament was first written entirely in Greek. It was then translated to Hebrew from Greek. The New Testament was first entirely first written in Greek then Hebrew then to the Latin Romance languages (the ancestor of so many modern languages such as Spanish, Italian, French, etc.) while Greek language belongs to the Hellenic branch.
For a Hebrew Jewish person to be able to learn to read and write in Greek around 1st, 2nd and 3rd century AD, one has to be well-off financially, rich, wealthy, and from a prominent family in Greco-Roman society.
In the initial Greek version of the verse in Mark 14:51, it says a young boy, a pre-teenage boy, an underage boy was following Jesus before his arrest.
So my question is, why is a young boy, a young pre-teenage boy, an under age boy doing with Jesus in the middle of the night, at 4am before dawn? Why is a young underage age boy following Jesus in the middle of the night, at
4 am, before dawn? Why did the young boy flee naked when the authorities came to arrest Jesus? Why was a young boy only wearing a loose garment and was naked underneath in the middle of the night at 4am right before dawn? Why was the young boy wearing a garment so loose that he could throw it off him so easily and run away naked in the middle of the night at 4 am?
The early church saw the sick, evil, setanic verse in their ‘holy book’ and changed it from the original Greek words of ‘a young boy,’ to a young man.
