Today's Kemetic Yoga postures are not actual historical "postures" at all. They are a result of the scribal convention of Aspective art in which they expressed multiple angles simultaneously. The general rule was: torso, shoulders, single eye, waist garments, and any headdress or crown was to be carved in frontal view, while all else in profile view. If you want to know what postures were really true to life historically, simply compare to the Statues which did not use the aspective method for flat surface carvings. The postures used in Kemetic Yoga today are a great modern innovation that has many benefits. Let it be known!
