The kind of education a country prioritises shapes the kind of leadership it produces. Looking at Iran’s negotiating team compared with that of the United States, it is clear why some nations are harder to outmanoeuvre. Serious investment in technical knowledge, political training, and nation-building matters.

It is also a lesson for Africa. If the continent wants to build, compete, and defend its interests, it cannot keep relying on educational systems designed around foreign priorities. We need systems that prepare people with the practical skills, discipline, and knowledge required to move African nations forward.
