Our steamed elder, Mama Marimba Ani addresses the crowd during the closing remarks of the National Race 1st Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, 2025.

In this powerful address, Mama Marimba Ani calls us to recapture the tradition of African sovereignty that was lost when leadership lost vision and accommodation replaced determination.

She reminds us that:
š“…ƒš“‡“ We are at war for our people — a matter of life and death.
š“…ƒš“‡“ African people cannot find safety in systems built by our oppressors — true security is only through African power.
š“…ƒš“‡“ Our children must be raised as leaders, visionaries, and protectors, prepared for sovereignty worldwide.
š“…ƒš“‡“ Liberation is not a weekend activity — it must become a way of life.

This message is more than words — it’s a call to organize, unify, and build systems that ensure our future. šŸ’šā¤šŸ–¤

šŸŒ African sovereignty is not optional — it is our path to survival and victory.

Marimba Ani has fought American Colonialism and White Supremacy her entire life. Brilliant woman, She helped articulate things I couldn't at one time in my life.

Ghana does not host a formal U.S. base, but the 2018 ā€œDefense Cooperation Agreementā€ gives the U.S.: Unimpeded access to Ghanaian facilities Use of Ghana’s radio spectrum for free Diplomatic immunity for U.S. troops No inspection of U.S. equipment or cargo Tax‑free import of weapons, vehicles, and supplies Exclusive control over whatever they bring in

U.S. soldiers do not have legal impunity in Singapore, and Singapore has been extremely deliberate about this. The country never signed a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) with the United States
