In this thought-provoking video, we explore the shocking truth about the West's relationship with Africa. For over 800 years, the West has maintained a ruthlessly extractive economic relationship with Africa, exploiting its natural resources and human capital to fuel its own growth and prosperity. From chattel slavery to neocolonialism, the West has consistently prioritized its own interests over the well-being of African nations and peoples.

We examine how this centuries-long pattern of exploitation has enabled the West to impersonate a superior civilization, and how it has maintained its grip on power despite the rise of new global players like BRICS. We also look at the ways in which the West has worked to undermine African independence and sovereignty, from regime change to economic manipulation.

But there is hope for change. As global power dynamics shift and new options emerge, African nations have the opportunity to break free from the West's stranglehold and forge their own paths to development and prosperity. Will they seize this moment, or will they continue to be held back by the West's neocolonial grip?

Watch to learn more about the West's 800-year-old secret and the future of Africa in a rapidly changing world.

The only thing more Bizarre than a Massive network of Lakes, Rivers and even a DENSE FOREST the size of Texas in the middle of the Sahara Desert - Along with numerous cities, settlements and even Castles blanketing virtually the entire region of the Sahara…Is the realization that these Lost 600 year-old maps literally annotate these geological features Several thousand years prior to their modern Scientific discovery. How could they have possibly known of the existence of the Green Sahara 5,000 years before us?

Alongside the vast gold fields of Ghana are thousands of illegal mines or galamsey, where unskilled miners dream of hitting the big time. These mines rely mainly on children who abandon an education in an attempt to support their families.

Galamsey is a dangerous game – can anyone get rich quick? BBC Africa Eye investigates.

A teacher, psychologist, and historian, he began his career in the Denver Public Schools. He earned a B.A. in Educational Psychology, M.A. in Counseling, and Ed.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Denver, where he also taught in the College of Education and in the Philosophy colloquium of the Centennial Scholars Honors Program.Dr. Hilliard served on the faculty at San Francisco State University for eighteen years. During that time he was a Department Chair for two years, Dean of Education for eight years, and was consultant to the Peace Corps and Superintendent of Schools in Monrovia, Liberia for two years. He has participated in the development of several national assessment systems, such as proficiency assessment for professional educators, and developmental assessments of young children and infants. He had been active in forensic psychology, serving as an expert witness on the winning side in several landmark federal cases on test validity and bias. Dr. Hilliard is a founding member of the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations and served as its first Vice President. He was the co-developer along with Listervelt Middleton, of a popular educational DVD series, Free Your Mind, Return To The Source: African Origins, as well as having produced videotapes and educational materials on African History through his production company, Waset Education Productions. Dr. Hilliard wrote numerous technical papers, articles, and books on testing, Ancient African History, teaching strategies, public policy, cultural styles, and child growth and development. In addition, he consulted with many of the leading school districts, universities, government agencies, and private corporations on valid assessment, curriculum equity and teacher training. Several of his programs in pluralistic curriculum, assessment, and valid teaching have become national models.WORKS BY DR. ASA GRANT HILLIARD IIIHilliard, Asa G. DR Congo: M23 Rebels March Towards South Kivu's Bukavu, Burundi Warns Rwanda | Firstpost Africa | N18G

As the Rwanda-backed M23 rebels continue their advance in the eastern DRC, the hearing of a historic case has begun at the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights. For the very first time, the court is hearing an inter-state dispute brought by the DRC against Rwanda over alleged human rights violations. M23 rebels have seized significant territory, including Goma, the largest city in the east. They are now advancing towards South Kivu's capital Bukavu and have seized two towns on the road to the city, Ihusi and Kalehe. Meanwhile, tensions are also escalating with other African nations. Burundi, which borders both DRC and Rwanda has warned of retaliation if its troops are attacked by the M23 rebels in DRC. Watch this video for more.

In the African Sahel a country called Niger bordering the Sahara Desert, the largest desert in the world, is stopping desertification and turning is deserts into an Oasis.

Regenerative Agriculture is leading the way with a technique called Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration or FMNR
FMNR was pioneered in the 1980s by Tony Rinaudo and Australian Agronomist who is widely known as the forest maker. The innovative technique has been adopted by local farmers through peer to peer learning making it cost effective and easy to implement. Over the last 40 years the visual results and the data have shown FMNR has been extremely successful in turning desert into farmland. It has regenerated 5 million hectors of degraded land, 200 million trees have been restored and has benefited 2.5 million people increasing house hold income by 18-24% the available arable land has doubled since the severe droughts of the 1970s and tree density has 10x since its all time low in the 1980s.

This is an extraordinary achievement considering Niger only receives on average 6.5 inches of rainfall a year and 80% of the country is considered a desert. The country has been effected by severe droughts and suffered huge land loss over the last decades and as a consequence Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world. However Niger has been turning this around, by turning its deserts into a farmland oasis through the technique of FMNR which you will learn more about in this video.
