In the the late 19th and early 20th century, the dream of Brazil's elite was the elimnation of black and mixed race people through racial mixture. The country's leadership was concerned with its image around the world as well future success as a nation. This elite class saw the majority population of black and brown people as inferior and responsible for the country's backwardness. The "solution" was opening the country to millions of European immigrants and the elimination of black and mixed race people through the promotion of mixed race unions which they would believed would lead to a Brazil that would eventually be white.

We must wake up. We have slept too long and retreated far longer.Dr. Asa G. Hilliard III was the Fuller E. Callaway Professor of Urban Education at Georgia State University, with joint appointments in the Department of Educational Policy Studies and the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education. A teacher, psychologist, and historian, he began his career in the Denver Public Schools. He earned a B.A. in Educational Psychology, M.A. in Counseling, and Ed.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Denver, where he also taught in the College of Education and in the Philosophy colloquium of the Centennial Scholars Honors Program.Dr. Hilliard served on the faculty at San Francisco State University for eighteen years. During that time he was a Department Chair for two years, Dean of Education for eight years, and was consultant to the Peace Corps and Superintendent of Schools in Monrovia, Liberia for two years. He has participated in the development of several national assessment systems, such as proficiency assessment for professional educators, and developmental assessments of young children and infants. He had been active in forensic psychology, serving as an expert witness on the winning side in several landmark federal cases on test validity and bias. Dr. Hilliard is a founding member of the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations and served as its first Vice President. He was the co-developer along with Listervelt Middleton, of a popular educational DVD series, Free Your Mind, Return To The Source: African Origins, as well as having produced videotapes and educational materials on African History through his production company, Waset Education Productions. Dr. Hilliard wrote numerous technical papers, articles, and books on testing, Ancient African History, teaching strategies, public policy, cultural styles, and child growth and development. In addition, he consulted with many of the leading school districts, universities, government agencies, and private corporations on valid assessment, curriculum equity and teacher training. Several of his programs in pluralistic curriculum, assessment, and valid teaching have become national models.WORKS BY DR. ASA GRANT HILLIARD IIIHilliard, Asa G. Dr. Gad Barnea is not your typical Bible scholar—he’s reshaping how we view ancient Judaism and the Hebrew Bible, tackling one of its core assumptions: that Moses and his story are older than the 4th century BCE. As a Lecturer in Jewish History and Biblical Studies at the University of Haifa and a Research Fellow at the École biblique et archéologique Française, Dr. Barnea focuses on Yahwism under the “Iranian Age of Empires,” exploring how Persian rule and Zoroastrianism likely shaped early Judaism, suggesting the Moses narrative may have emerged far later than commonly thought.Beyond texts, Barnea has uncovered a groundbreaking ostracon from Elephantine, the earliest known Jewish curse text, and evidence of a Jewish priestess—a revelation about ancient Jewish rituals. He’s also restored a Qumran scroll (4Q550) containing a forgotten Achaemenid court tale, set to release with Brill, and co-edits a book on “Yahwism under the Achaemenid Empire.”With years of tech experience, Barnea is also advancing Digital Humanities, making biblical studies accessible and transforming how we understand figures like Moses in light of hellenistic influences.overing a history that reshapes our understanding of the Bible and Moses himself.Dr. Gad Barnea linksAcademia - https://haifa.academia.edu/gadbarneaHis new book free open access - https://www.degruyter.com/docu....ment/doi/10.1515/978 the other awesome interview with Dr. Gad Barnea on @GnosticInformant https://youtu.be/ZEEhqRxfFck?si=i8iK20IDP6J0ZYmz

Sory Kandia Kouyaté & L'Ensemble National Djoliba & Kélétigui Et Ses Tambourinis
Pays : Guinée
Label : Syliphone
Production : Syllart Records / Sterns Music

The Syliphone Years

(Texte : J.Dayan / Syllart Records - Source : Jeune Afrique)

After years of talks, July 7 2019, marks the date when 54 individual African states signed the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, effectively making Africa the world’s largest free trade area by number of countries since the formation of the World Trade Organization. The goal of this was to establish a single continent-wide market for goods and services across 54 countries, allow the free movement of business travelers and investments, and spur economic growth and development, similar to how the European Union created a single market out of many different individual states. By increasing regional trade, lowering trade costs and streamlining border procedures, full implementation of the pact would be a huge step forward for Africa, demonstrating to the world that it is emerging as a leader in global trade. And So what if this giant African market gives rise to a new country.. A fusion of all 55 countries into one massive un-partitioned state called the United States of Africa?
