The Archaic Humans of West Afrika
The video challenges the idea that modern West Africans primarily descend from ancient West Africans, pointing to the Ogolian hyper-arid period and dominance by archaic humans. Despite the existence of "ghost archaic DNA," modern West Africans trace their ancestry to the Shum Laka culture, not the archaic humans. Recent studies by Arun Durvasula and Sriram Sankararaman suggest introgression by an unidentified archaic hominin, contributing 2 to 19% of present-day Africans' ancestry. Specific genes with high archaic segment frequencies prompt the need for further analysis of modern and ancient African genomes. Despite attempts to misinterpret data for racist agendas, Marc Lipson et al.'s findings indicate modern West Africans derive 2% from archaic humans, 10% from the first Homo Sapien Sapiens in Africa, and 88% from a Hapi River Valley continuum.

Welcome to Powered by Nyame! In this week's episode, we focus on the topic of power. In this political season, it's important to step back from the campaigns and sloganeering and consider what is and isn't power and the kinds of powers the exist in our world. All power(s) rest on manipulation and inspiration. We hope this episode inspires.

A brief history on African religion in the U.S. and its commodification by Europeans.
Our ancestors were murdered for practicing our systems of healing and spiritual communion, and were labeled as devil worshippers because Europeans feared the power of those systems of active faith.
Africans had no concept of the devil the way it was forced upon us through European christianity. Fear of our families being broken apart, fear of our children, wives, and husbands being raped or castrated, fear of being punished to death for being ourselves- FEAR was the portal through which the devil, white Jesus, heaven, and hell came into our psyches and still affect us to this day.

1. "Almost everything we know about Ancient Egypt comes from their belief in L.I.F.E. AFTER DEATH. It may surprise you, you know, you've all seen temples, you've all seen the tombs, we don't have cities, the ancient Egyptian cities weren't meant to last forever. They really believed that you were going to go on forever, so why not put your money in your tombs and your temples which are for eternity, so their houses had to last for only one generation. So we don't have ancient Egyptian cities, just temples, tombs, and artifacts from those tombs. Now the only reason we have coffins, is because they wanted to protect the body fro eternity, now the notion that they had was R.E.S.U.R.R.E.C.T.I.O.N.; the Egyptians believed NOT IN REINCARNATION as some 'New Agers' say, but in R.E.S.U.R.R.E.C.T.I.O.N.. They believed that the body was literally going to get up and go again in the next world, and that's why you had to preserve it."

There was really NO EUROPE in ancient times......and Europe as we know it was divided by the Rhine-Danube frontier, south and west of which lay the civilized provinces of the empire, and north and east the ''BARBARIANS' of whom the civilized world KNEW ALMOST NOTHING"A HISTORY OF THE MODERN WORLDR.R. Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger vs. Algeria
The shooting down of a $30 million Turkish-made Malian drone by Algeria on April 1, 2025, has pushed these once-allied nations to the brink of war. In this deep analysis, we uncover the hidden economic motives behind the conflict, including Algeria's secretive oil interests in Mali's Taoudeni Basin and the strategic resource game being played across the Sahara.
Discover how Mali's military government, backed by Russian Wagner forces, is reclaiming territory and resources that Algeria has long influenced through controlled instability. Learn why the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline hangs in the balance and how Morocco is strategically filling the power vacuum as Algeria's regional influence collapses.
This isn't just about a drone – it's about billions in natural resources, shifting regional alliances, and the future of power in North Africa. The conflict threatens to redraw the geopolitical map of the entire region.
