African Music & Entertainment
Recorded live in Copenhagen, Denmark, April 1968. Song for My Father was recorded in October 1964 and released on the Blue Note label. The album was inspired by a trip that Silver had made to Brazil. The cover artwork features a photograph of Silver's father, John Tavares Silva, to whom the title song was dedicated. "My mother was of Irish and Negro descent, my father of Portuguese origin", Silver recalls in the liner notes, "He was born on the island of Maio, one of the Cape Verde Islands." The album line-up differs from the Copenhagen musicians here.
Today we honor Amos Wilson.🖤
The gears that keep us running. The voice that gives us inspiration, motivation, and charts the path to psychological liberation. We want everyone—young and old—to know Amos and his work.
Not long ago, we were chatting with a few Wilsonians—those of uswho have sat at the feet of his teachings, who have had our minds reorganized by his words. And someone asked the question:"How old were you when you learned about Amos?"
One by one, the answers came. Twenty-five. Thirty-two. Forty.Forty-seven. All of them... too late.
There was a little bit of regret in that room. Not because we found him eventually—but because we wished we had found him sooner. We wished someone had placed his books in our hands when our minds were still forming. We wished his voice had been in our ears beforethe world convinced us of lies about ourselves.
We all wished we had heard his teachings earlier.
And right there, in that moment, something was born. Afrika's Army: An Amos Wilson Awakening.
Because the youngest among us deserve to grow up with Amos. They deserve to learn about the psychology of power before they learn about powerlessness. They deserve to understand that their mind is their wealth, their consciousness is their weapon, and their cultureis their foundation.
Afrika's Army is for our children.
So that one day, when they are asked, "How old were you when you learned about Amos?" — they won't have to say too late.
They'll say, "I grew up with him."
Happy Birthday, Dr. Amos Wilson. Your work lives on in the youngest soldiers of Afrika's Army. ✊🏿📚
✊🏿Join the legacy. Teach the children.

Nana Akua Oparebea was a multi-faceted and powerful priest in her own right. With her
close associations with Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah and the Convention People’s
party, she was an astute cultural and political innovator. Emmanuel Akyeampong writes that
Nana Oparebea and the Ghana Psychic and Traditional Healing Association were part of
Nkrumah’s “pursuit of the African personality and identity.”145 As Nkrumah’s spiritual
consultant, she also helped to foster his “religious pluralism.” 146 She extended this pluralism
with her transnational cultural coalition with Nana Yao Opare Dinizulu, who was more of an
African spiritual purist, in that he did not mix Akↄm practices with other ritual applications or
dogmas even though he did socially interface with other groups in the spirit of Pan-Africanism.
With Dinizulu, she pioneered an African Diaspora legacy that is far-reaching and influential in
the United States with thousands of priests trained in service to the Akonnedi Shrine deities of
Asuo Gyebi, Adade Kofi and Nana Esi Ketewa. In 1965 they created the first Akan shrine to be
exported across the Atlantic to voluntarily bring the spiritual practice to Africans in the
Americas.

A rare insight (especially from mainstream media) into the forgotten but ongoing war in Yemen. BBC Arabic has secured the first on-camera interviews with US mercenaries from Spear Operations Group, hired by the UAE for targeted killings of Al Qaeda operatives in Yemen and its often ignored cost to innoncent civilian lives. These mercenaries openly discussed their deadly operations with reporter Nawal al Maghafi for BBC World Service Documentary series.

Nima. Debora (Maman D), Spiritual Mother & adviser
BANDZIS, NGANGAS, AND NIMAS. Bandzi is the name given to a person being initiated
into Bwiti, or who has already been initiated but does not really follow the tradition in their
daily life. In the initiation, the Bandzis will meet their kombo, the spiritual entity that accompanies them. When Bandzis integrate their kombo into their daily life, they become Ngangas. In Gabon, the Nganga is someone who is not only initiated in Bwiti but also practices
it daily. A Nganga is someone who applies the knowledge of Bwiti in their life, work, music,
and teachings. They are prophets, healers. It is the Nima, however, who has the knowledge
and authority to train and anoint Ngangas, and it is in Nimas that the gift of initiation and
knowledge of healing lies. The Nima is the spiritual leader of the village. Becoming a Nima,
or even a Nganga, is a lengthy process that can take several years of study and practice.
The process includes structured learning in several areas of traditional science, such as initiations, healings, natural pharmacopeia, and spiritual help to humanity. The role of a Nima
carries great responsibility. It is not only about knowing the physical and spiritual dimensions
of iboga but includes holding the knowledge and practices of healing plants, as well as the
process for becoming a traditional therapist.
You can’t initiate other people without knowing the elements. It is important because when you
do a consultation you have in front of you someone who comes with serious problems… If you
don’t know the herbs, the procedures, you’re not going to do a good detoxification treatment.
You can’t make the necessary leap. You can’t hunt the black snake and so on. When people
come with all these problems, you need to have learned how to solve them. [E4-Maman D_34:08]

Ronald Stokes Service, May 22nd 1962.
On April 27th 1962, seven unarmed Muslims were shot outside Muslim Temple 27 in Los Angeles. Temple Secretary, Ronald Stokes 29, was killed. "They're going to pay for it," Hon. Malcolm declares, and goes to Los Angeles to eulogize Stokes at a funeral attended by 2,000 people. Despite an autopsy that established Stokes was shot at close range and had been stomped, kicked and bludgeon while dead or dying. An all-white coroner's jury deliberating the Stokes' killing, took 23 minutes to conclude it "justifiable homicide." By contrast, 14 Nation of Islam members are indicted for assault in the incident and 11 are found guilty.
Elijah Muhammad's reluctance to aggressively retaliate Stokes death, would be the first of a series of events, causing irreparable rifts between The Honorable Malcolm X and The Messenger. And lead to his eventual ouster from the Nation of Islam.

The Kemetic Roots of West Afrika
This video provides a breakdown of the Kemetic ancestral roots of contemporary West Afrikan populations using a multidisciplinary evidence based approach. Some of the fields of analysis include:
Historical Linguistics
Historical Archeology
Genetics
Structural Systems etc.
The ancestry of the Igbo, Yoruba, Wolof and Akan is discussed refuting the notion that the Afrikology subfields of Kemetology and Nubiology are the Hamitic hypothesis painted black. In reality scholars within these disciplines spearheaded the effort to defeat Hamiticism, especially at the Cairo Symposium of 1974.

The full uncut version of the thought-provoking debate between Malcolm X and Gordon Hall on extremist organizations which took place 3 days before Malcolm was tragically assassinated.
On April 30, 2025, a wave of protests erupted across major cities worldwide, including New York, London, Accra, and Vienna, as Africans and their allies rallied in solidarity with Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso. These demonstrations were a direct response to perceived neo-colonial interference, particularly following comments by U.S. General Michael Langley. Protesters, comprising members of the African diaspora and supporters from various nations, voiced their support for Traoré's vision of an autonomous Africa free from Western dominance. Chants like "No more plots, no more puppets" and "We stand with Traoré" echoed through the streets, symbolizing a collective demand for sovereignty and self-determination. This global mobilization underscores a significant shift in the African political landscape, highlighting a growing resistance against external influences and a unified call for genuine independence.
