Universities in Nigeria and Ghana have been plagued by stories of sexual harassment by lecturers and professors for decades. Allegations include a wide array of abuses, from blackmailing students for sex in exchange for marks and admission to lewd comments and grooming.

After gathering dozens of testimonies, BBC Africa Eye sent undercover journalists posing as students inside the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the University of Ghana to capture footage of the sexual harassment.

Reporter Kiki Mordi, who knows first-hand how devastating sexual harassment can be, reveals what happens behind the closed doors of some of West Africa’s most prestigious universities.

Further information and support for anyone affected by sexual assault can be found through the BBC Action Line: http://bit.ly/2IyHETP

This video offers a presentation of the concept of religion according to the understanding the Kôngo people had of this notion before their encounter with the Europeans.

Religion was understood as n'kisi nsi, the use of n'kisi as divine spirits to empower human beings in order to enable them to fight the evil effects of demonic spirits.

The kôngo concept of n'kisi means spirit and power. It alludes first to God, the Most High, and to holy ancestors as animating spirits and protecting power surrounding human beings. This implies that the concept of n'kisi is alike the Igbo concept of Chi and the Yoruba concept of Ase.

It is thus anomalous to reduce the meaning of n'kisi to the Western concept of fetish.

The ideas exposed in this video were taken in our book titled BUKÔNGO which can be found at

-Full speech
-Malcolm X on Jesus Christ
-Who Taught You To Hate Yourself?

Malcolm X was one of the greatest leaders in the history. Malcolm X founded the Organization of Afro-American Unity, to fight for the Civil Rights of the Black Americans. He had the gift to articulate his messages in such a way that he grabs the crowd attention from the first till the last minute of the speech.
In this speech on May 1962, Malcolm X talk about Jesus Christ. He tells how Jesus would be in the side of Black Americans if he was alive. Jesus that always came in defense of the most oppressed.
Malcolm X talked also about in this speech about the police brutality in the Black community in1962.
This Malcolm X teaching cover an interesting subject that is the lesson about: "Who teach you to hate yoursel?". When you hate what is in yourself you will hate also what is in your brother. When you start loving yourself you will love your brother also. I this way Malcolm X teaches how it's possible to strength each member of the Black community and don't let it be divided by anything.

In an exclusive interview with BBC Africa, Zambia's new President, Hakainde Hichilema, said his government is discovering "horrifying" amounts of money being stolen. He added that his government would show "zero tolerance" towards corruption, and would get to the bottom of what he called the illicit movement of funds very soon.

President Hichilema also revealed that he planned to change the country’s constitution to allow more women into politics.

Hakainde Hichelema, who was sworn in a week ago, outlined his plans for devolution to communities, to ensure funds are decentralised to allow them to set their own priorities. Talks have also been taking place with Chinese entities as the full scale of the country's debt burden is revealed.
