Hyena charts the epic levels of corruption undertaken by the Yahya Jammeh regime in The Gambia, which is estimated to have stolen almost US$1 billion of public funds from the smallest country in mainland Africa.
This short documentary was planned, filmed and directed by a group of 11 Gambian citizens - drawn from communities across the country - during a Participatory Video project in July 2019. It was facilitated and edited by Gareth Benest (equals.org.uk) on behalf of the Global Anti-Corruption Consortium at Transparency International, in partnership with Gambia Participates .
Hyena was premiered in Banjul and Berlin in September 2019 and is due for nationwide broadcast in the coming months. It will also be submitted to the ongoing Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission in The Gambia, which is currently investigating the human rights abuses of the Jammeh regime.
Follow Gambia Participates on Twitter (@GambiaParticip8) and Facebook (@GambiaParticipates) for more information on this initiative and the impacts of grand corruption on the nation.

AYEKOO: Best Farming Practices in Ghana
Ayiti Bluez and AfroN8V recorded this song in 2010. AfroN8V is representing the Afrikans in Colombia paying homage to Ayiti for trying to free our Afrikan people from slavery which Bolivar continued upon independence. Ayiti Bluez sings about that role Ayiti played in South 'America'.
Collectively, Ayiti and Afrocolombia we are proud children of Afrika who continue to be in this 21st century, and we're wishing History, Consciousness and Triumph to the Black people of the world.

Into the Fray: How NBC's Washington Documentary Unit Reinvented the News By Tom Mascaro

The Science of Spying, marked the arrival of Bob Rogers as a field reporter-producer. The program aired May 4, 1965, and tracked the roots of U.S. covert operations back to the 1950s, providing a stark account of clandestine initiatives in a time before public disclosures, congressional investigations, and Hollywood movies made the 1970s a difficult time to be an American spy. The "Pentagon Papers," the Pike and Church Committees, and thrillers such as Three Days of the Condor eventually revealed the CIA's complicity in assassination plots and interna-tional meddling, which Yates and Rogers had already seen up close. NBC management stood firm when The Science of Spying attracted criti-cism. Ad reps from Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn (BBD&O) screened it and advised their client B. F. Goodrich Company to withdraw.31 BBD&O issued a statement saying the program violated the Goodrich advertising policy "in that it treats a controversial public issue in a way which may do harm to the government of the United States?" NBC countered that the documentary "fell within the broad outlines of the program policy origi-nally submitted to and accepted by the B. F. Goodrich agency, BBD&O."33 The CIA watched the program and tracked subsequent reactions in the national press. Viewers wrote to President Johnson complaining NBC News had given America's enemies negative propaganda.34 Yates may have antici-pated some adverse reactions to the program, but he never expected to be frightened by what he discovered. "

Dr. Wilson said: We are most apathetic in those areas that if we were not, we would challenge the authorities. In this lecture concerning Black on Black violence, Dr. Wilson connects the dots between psychological states of conscious, falsified history, economic castration, miseducation and domination. If we are to understand violence, we must understand states of consciousness, what we think about ourselves, and what we think about others.
