Long top LP originally released by Black Forum, a Motown Subsidiary.Guess Who's Coming Home: Black Fighting Men Recorded Live in Vietnam is the first recorded history of black soldiers in any war. For two years, Wallace Terry traveled the length and breadth of Vietnam from 1967 to 1969 interviewing black soldiers-- infantry as well as officers--for Time magazine and for this recording. He found his story everywhere, from the battlefields of Hamburger Hill and the Ashau Valley to the black-only hootches in Da Nang. The Bloods rap about the issues of the day--racism in the military and back home in the "World", Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, the Black Panthers, and Ho Chi Minh. In this recording, you will discover a war within a war, a double battleground between blacks and whites. The humor, intensity and anguish as the Bloods rap in Guess Who's Coming Home will make you laugh, it may make you angry, and it may make you cry as you share their world at war.

Ɔbenfo Nana Baffour Amankwatia II also known as Asa Hilliard III in this memorable speech about Freeing our Minds and Returning To The Source: Our African Origins #NanaBaffourAmankwatiaII #AsaHilliardIII #Afrika #Afrikanhistory #Ancestry
Just a quick preview to my convo with Brother Obadele Kambon details below:
ANCIENT ORIGINS OF PAN-AFRICANISM
Most people believe that the Pan-Afrikan Movement is little more than 100 years old. Most people also believe that Pan-Afrikanism is merely an invention dreamed up by diasporans; and that it is not indigenous to Afrikans on the continent. In this exclusive interaction we explode both myths as Bro. Obadele Kambon presents his ground breaking research.

The long and brutal history of the US trying to “kill the Indian and save the man”.
Help our reporting on hidden histories. Submit a story idea here: http://bit.ly/2RhjxMy
Toward the end of the 19th century, the US took thousands of Native American children and enrolled them in off-reservation boarding schools, stripping them of their cultures and languages. Yet decades later as the US phased out the schools, following years of indigenous activism, it found a new way to assimilate Native American children: promoting their adoption into white families. Watch the episode to find out how these two distinct eras in US history have had lasting impacts on Native American families.
In the Vox series Missing Chapter, Vox Senior Producer Ranjani Chakraborty revisits underreported and often overlooked moments from the past to give context to the present. Join her as she covers the histories that are often left out of our textbooks. Our first season tackles stories of racial injustice, political conflicts, even the hidden history of US medical experimentation.

Aduna is helping to grow The Great Green Wall: a ground-breaking initiative led by the African Union to build and preserve an 8,000km wall of trees across the African Sahel. The Sahel, where Aduna’s baobab fruit supply chain is based, is one of the world’s poorest regions. People rely on the land to survive but climate change is causing desertification, making it impossible for communities to grow crops and earn a living. Learn how we, together with our local partners ORGIIS, have transformed baobab from an under-utilised resource to a lifeline for local communities. And discover the crucial role Baobab has to play in The Great Green Wall - creating sustainable livelihoods, reversing the effects of climate change and providing communities with a reason to stay. Find out more at https://aduna.com or https://www.greatgreenwall.org. #greatgreenwall #baobab #makebaobabfamous #aduna
