Welcome to today's video, where we're going to dive into the real reason behind John Mahama's visit to Mali and how it's connected to Captain Ibrahim Traoré. You might think you know what's going on, but trust me, there's more to this story than meets the eye. So, stick with us until the end to uncover the truth. Just a few months ago, John Dramani Mahama was re-elected as the President of Ghana. This marked a significant shift in Ghana's political landscape, especially considering the previous administration's relations with neighboring countries. One notable event during Mahama's inauguration was the presence of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the leader of Burkina Faso. Traoré not only attended the ceremony but also paid Mahama a visit at his home, where they engaged in fruitful discussions about friendship and cooperation. This marked a new era in relations between Ghana and Burkina Faso, moving away from the tense dynamics that existed during the tenure of Mahama's predecessor, Nana Akufo-Addo. Traoré became somewhat of a celebrity in Ghana, with many youths hailing him as a hero. Mahama even joked that Traoré was more popular in Ghana than he was. This newfound camaraderie seemed to signal a fresh start in bilateral relations between the two nations.
The murder rate in South Africa is at a 20-year high.
According to the latest annual statistics, more than 27,000 people were killed in a year but only 12% of cases were solved.
Security van heists and robberies are also a serious problem, with many people relying on private security instead of police.
Minister for the police, Bheki Cele, said the government was getting "on top of things".

The Accelerating the Adoption of Agroforestry Project currently works with 24 community groups with a total of 600 members in Kericho and Kisumu counties in Kenya. 144 lead-farmers were trained in self-selected and context-specific climate-smart practices, including agroforestry, horticulture, coffee farming, poultry keeping and livestock keeping. Through farmer to farmer extension, the project reaches thousands of households in the project area and beyond.

Lake Turkana is the largest desert lake in the world, it measures about 249 km long by an average width of 30 km but 48 km at its widest; it is 35m deep.
The lake is endowed with humble resources of fish on the eastern side that has always been a source of livelihoods for communities living along this lake.

Topic: Innovative multi-culm bamboo spatial lattice structures
The innovative multi-culm bamboo spatial lattice structures are composed of bamboo culm triangle installation units which are connected in the way that all simple connectors are the same. The topological relationship of this structural system differs from that of the traditional spatial lattice structures. A free-form surface lattice structures can be assembled in the way of tangent direction parallel connection between adjoining installation units. The bearing capacity of the structures can be strengthened in the way of normal direction parallel connection between adjoining installation units. The feasibility of this structural system has been validated by engineering applications.

Base Bahay Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing disaster-resilient, sustainable socialised housing for low-income families and disaster victims using the Cement-Bamboo Frame Technology (CBFT). However, though the CBFT has been tried and tested in our various projects around the country, Base remains dedicated to constant research and innovation for the optimization of the technology.
This can be achieved through the Base Innovation Center where Base conducts research on bamboo construction technology, in collaboration with various international and local universities. Together with our partner institutions, the BIC aims to further bamboo technology and promote this for widespread use.

Bamboo has been used as a construction material for thousands of years and currently hundreds of millions of people live in bamboo housing across the world, yet it is still perceived as non-conventional material. This is because most of bamboo constructions are vernacular. Over the last 20 years a significant effort has been made to transform it into another engineering material. This presentation identifies the state-of-the-art of bamboo engineering, including the significant progress made in the development of standards (and codes) and also identifies the path yet to cover.
