What happens after life, and who gets to define it?
Chief Tola Adeniyi, former Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Times and Nigerian Tribune, steps into one of humanity’s most controversial conversations with striking certainty. He rejects the traditional doctrines of heaven and hellfire, arguing instead that such ideas were constructed as instruments of control, tools used by some to dominate the minds and destinies of others.
Speaking not as a detached observer but as a man shaped by decades of journalism, power, and reflection, Adeniyi describes himself as a spiritualist, one who believes in an essence that transcends physical death. For him, existence does not end; it transforms. The body may fade, but something deeper, more enduring, continues its journey.
This is a critique of religion, a personal philosophy forged through experience, conviction, and a refusal to accept inherited truths without question.

In her presentation, “SANKOFA: Going back to fetch your inner voice,” Derise Tolliver Atta challenges viewers to “re-member” who they truly are.
Tolliver Atta is a faculty mentor and tenured associate professor in DePaul University’s School for New Learning. She describes herself as a clinical psychologist by training and a healer by nature. Her life’s mission is to help people “re-member” who they truly are, which she facilitates through her teaching, scholarship and service. Tolliver Atta has written and presented on African-centered education and psychology, spirituality and culture in adult learning, competence-based education, international education and program development, happiness, wellness, and healing from racism and oppression. She has been recognized at the university level for excellence in teaching and her commitment to diversity and social justice. Tolliver Atta also takes adult learners on short-term study abroad programs to West Africa and has directed a bachelor’s degree completion program for adult learners in Nairobi, Kenya. She is also a poet.

Fu-Kiau Bunseki, Ph.D. is one of the great scholars of the African religion, and the leading authority on the Bantu-Kongo civilization. He is also a genuine practitioner of the Kongo spiritual tradition. He is initiated into the three "secret societies" Lemba, Khimba and Kimpasi. Lemba is the foundation for several African based religious practices including Palo Mayombe (Cuba), Vodou Petro (Haiti) and Candomble Angola (Brasil). African cosmology of the Bantu-Kongo explores the Bantu-Kongo religious and philosophical teachings, as well as concepts of law and crime. It connects the reader with one of the most ancient and powerful spiritual traditions-explore "seven-direction walk" of our origin and links to society, nature and the universe.
