Ghana's official language is English because of its colonial past.
However there are so many local languages spoken and many travellers along with those who relocate to Ghana are eager to learn a language.

Some of the most common languages in Ghana are Twi, Ga, Fante, Ewe, Hausa, and Dagbane.

I am streaming live again this weekend! We are talking about How you can learn a Ghanaian Language. On Sunday July 12 at 5pm GMT (1pm EDT) on YouTube and Facebook.

This episode I speak with Emmanuel Amoh-Obeng, CEO and Founder of the Twi Learning Centre.

Dr. Ọbádélé Bakari Kambon, who has a PhD in Linguistics and will be sharing his insight on how anyone can learn a language. He has become fluent in speaking Twi and other languages in Africa he will share in this discussion.

We also have Diallo Sumbry, CEO of The Adinkra Group and Birthright Tours. He has been organizing travel groups to Ghana for many years. He's recently organized Twi cl****es for his network of travellers interested in learning a local language.

An exhibition in central Japan showcases tens of thousands of parts, stripped from the world's top-selling models. Japanese car parts manufacturers were stunned at the advances of Chinese brands BYD and Nio.

Chinese carmakers hold costs down through engineering advances in parts assembly, and with a far higher degree of vertical integration of production. Chinese companies integrate multiple components into one part, and then standardize those integrated parts across multiple car models. This results in far fewer parts per car, faster manufacturing time, and lower vehicle weight.

Industry insiders are increasingly critical of top executives in the US, Europe, and Japan who have been blindsided by Chinese ascent and near-domination of the global car industry. Consultants and engineering experts in China have reported for years on Chinese monopolies of supply chains, engineering breakthroughs, and product quality. Yet the CEO's and top officers of legacy car brands were seemingly unaware of key developments that were upending their own industry, and which now threaten their survival.

Morgan State University (MSU) is slated to establish an international presence on the African continent by way of a new pilot program. During the recent public session of the MSU Board of Regents' winter quarterly meeting, the Board unanimously approved a proposal for the university to begin offering three degree programs — a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Global Multimedia Journalism and Communications, and a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship — in partnership with the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in Adabraka, Accra, Ghana. The pilot program is scheduled to begin in fall 2020, creating opportunities for western African students to pursue degrees from Morgan. The collaboration marks a first of its kind for an HBCU in Ghana, with Morgan poised to join only a select few American universities offering degree programs in Africa.

In this documentary, we will travel to the heart of Western Sahara, the last remaining unexplored region of the great African desert.
We will meet the nomads that inhabit this land, learn about their fascinating customs, their atavistic rites; the birthplace of an ancient empire. They are the ULAD EL MIZNA, the Children of the Cloud.

The immense desert which comprises the Western Sahara, almost 250,000 km in size, is one of the least-known, and most hostile regions in the world.

In 1976, exile began for the Sahrawi nation, which since then has been crowded into refugee camps in the barren hammada of TINDUF, in extreme living conditions and depending for their survival on international aid.
The unequal war between the FRENTE POLISARIO and Morocco in order to achieve freedom for their country has led to poverty, desolation and an unbearable cost in human lives.

In exile, the Sahrawi nation has, with the few available resources, managed to create a rudimentary but efficient system of administration. The population, some 170,000 people, has organised itself into WILAYAS and DARÍAS, assemblies of neighbours at which they discuss the problems of the community.

Mauritania is a country entirely of desert and with a fascinating history.
The terrifying canyons of the AMOJIAR ravine, its vertical walls, and the frequent landslides formed part of the dangers of the road which the ancient caravans had to negotiate in order to reach the mythical cities of the Gold Route. The lost cities of Mauritania. The mosque is the most important building in Chinguetti and perhaps in all of Mauritania. Every year, below its minaret, of dry-stone masonry and reconstructed several times, thousands of the Turab al Bidan faithful gathered to set out on the pilgrimage to Mecca.
For this reason, Chinguetti was considered the seventh holy city of Islam.
