The conversation explores the impact of artificial intelligence on the Pan-Afrikan movement, particularly focusing on the potential threats posed by AI-generated misinformation. Tho host emphasizes the importance of controlling the narrative surrounding figures like Captain Traore and highlight the dual nature of AI, which can both benefit and harm our communities. The discussion calls for greater awareness and accountability in the use of AI technologies.
This is the modern-day story of a Black native peoples' remarkable victory
over western colonial terrorism. A Pacific island rose up in arms against
giant mining corporation Rio Tinto Zinc (RTZ) - and won despite a
military occupation and blockade. When RTZ decided to step up production
at the Panguna Mine on the island of Bougainville, they got more than
they bargained for.
The island's Black people had enough of seeing their environment ruined and
being treated as pawns by RTZ. RTZ refused to compensate them, so the
people decided it was time to put an end to outside interference in the
islands affairs. To do this they forcibly closed down the mine.
The Papua New Guinea Army (PNGDF) were mobilized in an attempt to put
down the rebellion. The newly formed Bougainville Revolutionary Army
(BRA) began the fight with bows & arrows and sticks & stones.
Against a heavily armed adversary they still managed to retain control
of most of their island.
Realizing they were beaten on the ground, the PNGDF imposed a gunboat
blockade around Bougainville, in an attempt to strangle the BRA into
submission. But the blockade seemed to have little or no effect. With no
shipments getting in or out of the island, how did new electricity
networks spring up in BRA held territory? How were BRA troops able to
drive around the island without any source of petrol or diesel?
What was happening within the blockade was an environmental and
spiritual revolution. The ruins of the old Panguna mine were being
recycled... to supply the raw materials for the worlds first
eco-revolution.

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare to be amazed! Burkina Faso has just stunned the world once again, and this time, it's not just clean politics – it's clean laundry too! Can you believe it? The land of the upright people has just inaugurated its very first detergent factory in its history, and let me tell you, it's no small feat. This is the kind of news that makes you want to jump out of your seat and cheer for progress!
Picture this: a state-of-the-art facility, gleaming under the African sun, churning out not just soap, but hope for an entire nation. This isn't just about getting clothes clean; it's about cleaning up the economy, scrubbing away dependency, and polishing the future of Burkina Faso until it shines. And who's behind this revolutionary sudsy sensation? None other than the man of the hour, the visionary leader who's been turning heads and changing lives – President Ibrahim Traoré.
Now, I know what you're thinking. "Another factory? What's the big deal?" Oh, but my friends, this is no ordinary factory, and Traoré is no ordinary leader. This detergent plant is just the latest in a whirlwind of development that's been sweeping across Burkina Faso faster than you can say "economic transformation." But before we dive into the suds, let me ask you this: When was the last time you heard of an African nation going from zero to hero in industrial production in just two years? Go ahead, drop your answers in the comments below – I'll wait!
🚨 Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao delivers a powerful and urgent message to the African diaspora, shedding light on critical issues affecting Africa and its people worldwide. She speaks on the importance of unity, economic empowerment, and reclaiming Africa’s resources from foreign exploitation.
🌍 The time is now for Africans at home and abroad to stand together for a stronger, self-reliant continent! ✊🏿🔥

Despite high tariffs against Chinese-built products, the United States imported record volumes of manufactured goods from China in July.
Policymakers in the United States, along with governments in friendly countries and those in North America, expected that after years of high tariffs and sanctions, that supply chain managers would be moving supply chains out of China, and bring them home.
The opposite happened, and imports from China are not merely larger than ever, but are accelerating relative to countries most friendly to the United States.

This video is about how does the massive traffic in Lagos Nigeria impact businesses. This is our transportation segment in Nigeria.
22 million people live in Lagos Nigeria. Lagos is Nigeria’s smallest state. Traffic costs the state of Lagos billions of naira. Welcome to Transportation, the segment where we break down everything in the Nigerian transportation sector.
Lagos is known for traffic. Go-slow is a way of life in Lagos.
But have you thought about the impacts of traffic on business in Lagos?
Forbes, Lagos is the 3rd worst city to drive in globally with about 60% congestion.
According to punch, Lagos residents spend 3 out of 10 years in traffic. Lagosians spend an average of seven hours 20 minutes in traffic every day.
Now what is the impact to businesses.
According to “The Socio-Economic costs of traffic congestion in Lagos” Lagosians collectively lose 3 billion hours to traffic congestions yearly, and that if that time were reduced by 20 per cent, it would save the state at least $1 billion dollars or (about N150 billion) yearly.
Traffic reduces productivity.
Think about it, Business lose because all their workers are spending time traveling to work rather than working; delaying (or missing) meetings; due to long travel time.
It is quite normal seeing road rage incidents on the road, because people are stressed. plus sitting in cars contributes negative to exposure to pollution.
There are also cases when goods get destroyed on transit due to lack of good road networks.
Security issues on the road because of traffic. Dispatcher riders (delivery men and women getting robbed).
The bad roads mess up cars. So if you are a business that errands an errand business, you are going to have an high car maintenance bill.
Why is the traffic so bad in Lagos?
