Ghana’s government has signed a terrible contract with an Australian company to mine lithium in Ghana.
Ghana’s Minister for Natural Resources, Samuel Jinapor insists the terms of the contract are the best for Ghana.

This is a previously undiscovered African house, from east Kenya,. It is almost on the edge of extinction, with the tradition being preserved by one remarkable young woman, Ramadan. The tiny home, a beautiful example of organic architecture, is constructed by around twenty women builders over three days, usually just before a marriage. The house is unusually high, with a raised up bed, and this is to protect the occupants from the occasional flooding of the river Tana. All the natural materials are gathered from within a few kilometers of the village. Essentially it is a bentwood frame lashed together into a gridshell. The whole structure is strong as it is a natural parabolic dome. The area is undergoing rapid change as modern materials and electricity are being brought in, so we were very fortunate to be able to record this building before it disappears completely.

COMPETITION: We tried to count how many knots were actually used in making the building. We have a small competition. The person who is closest to our answer, within three months of the video uploading will receive one of the very last copies of my book, free of charge. Leave a comment with your number, and how you estimated it (even if it is just a random guess). As long as we can then contact you to get your address we will send you a book all about nomadic architecture. There are only about 20 left unsold and this will never again be printed.

FUNDRAISER: This high building has evolved out of a very lightweight and mobile architecture that the same tribe use in the semi-desert regions to the north. We need to raise $5,000 to return to make a full record of this building type. ⁣A look at the black gods of the ancient world.

⁣Africans have been conditioned to think they are poor. In this latest episode of The African Narratives, the creative director of Africa Web TV, Femi Soewu, gives his take on the believe that Africans are poor. Being devoid of luxury is not the same as being poor. Why are Africans always trying to compare themselves with Europeans? Why are we always trying to run the European race? Why is it that we are only happy when we have all those big buildings in Africa? Why are Africans only happy when they get a European seal of approval?

Despite political rhetoric to the contrary, the United States and China have enjoyed the most mutually successful economic partnership in modern history.

The Group of Seven (G7) nations include the US, Canada, the UK, Japan, Germany, France, and Italy. As emerging market economies, and especially China, have boomed, the G7's share of global GDP has dramatically fallen.

But a closer examination of the underlying economic data shows that the United States' share of global GDP has risen, especially since 2010. The US is the only G7 country to take a larger share of global GDP while China's economy rocketed higher.

And thus we have all of the Trayvon Martins and Aiyana Jones’s of today.What's even more sad is that there are black males who will come on here and DEFEND this level of cowardice. They will come with innumerable excuses ("We can't win a fight with the white man"... "If we fight we die...") and justifications for this cowardly madness.I actually feel sorry for Black Women... they have to look around and see these sorry examples of manhood totally unashamed that they are complete sheep...Sisters... If you have a man that can sit here and defend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., take a long look down at your precious little black babies... and then come to the realization that you do not have a man.
