Africa: War is Business reveals how war economies come into being in Africa, and how they are maintained. The film investigates the causes and effects of these economies, and where we as Western consumers fit into the equation.
The film follows Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme, son of Princess Irene of the Netherlands, as he travels through Sierra Leone, Liberia and Congo looking for the cause of these wars in Africa and the role the continent's natural resources play in creating conflict. He wonders how countries so rich in these resources could be so overwhelmed by poverty.

When a deadly new virus appeared in Wuhan, China, in late 2019, few would have imagined its wide-ranging effects. Within weeks COVID-19 was spreading around the world; within a year it had killed one a half million people and hospitalised tens of millions more, forcing nation after nation into lockdown and bringing many economies to a juddering halt.
As international travel stalled in the face of movement restrictions, the consequences were sometimes calamitous - even in places more normally adrift from events elsewhere.
One such place was Samburu, deep in the heart of Kenya, where people reliant on wildlife safari tourism were left struggling to survive.
This thought-provoking episode of People & Power, from filmmaker Andreas Knausenberger, is a salutary reminder of the coronavirus pandemic's unexpected effects on remote communities far from the glare of the global spotlight.

Uganda and Tanzania have entered a partnership to build a 1,443km (896 mile) heated oil pipeline to pump oil from the Albertine basin in Uganda to Tanzania’s Indian Ocean port of Tanga.
What does the deal mean for both countries? Why were environmentalists against the project? And why was Kenya left out?
BBC Africa's Peter Mwangangi explains.

Ancient Egyptian Pyramid Texts - The Keys to Eternity and Immortality Before The Book of Coming Fort
Between the monumental Pyramids of Giza and the beautifully illustrated Book of the Dead, a religious revolution took place. For the first time in human history detailed accounts of the afterlife and the rituals to transcend death first appear engraved in the twilight of the Old Kingdom. Known as the Pyramid texts, these elaborate rituals, spells and incantations detail how the Soul can be made immortal, by traveling with the Divine Sun through the night, reborn in Osiris, before being emerging between the thighs of the Sky Goddess Nut. The Pyramid texts represent the earliest and most sustained literature on the Afterlife and are among the oldest religious literature in the world.

CABRALISTA FOCUSES ON A. CABRAL'S LEGACY AND THE BIRTH OF THE "CABRALIST" MOVEMENT IN UPRISING AFRICA
Synopsis
The Movie is a 2011 documentary film by Valerio Lopes. It asserts a number of theory-based ideas born around Amilcar Cabral and the independents and human rights movements he led mainly in the 1960'ies.
Amílcar Cabral was a Guinea-Bissauan leader, writer, freedom fighter and politician, he was assassinated in 1973.
"Cabralista" reflects the collective memory, how this revolutionary theoretician whose influence reverberated far beyond the African continent is remembered. With never released voice recordings, humanist citations and quotes, timeless footage and cultured visual effects, this film is a unique vision of Africa yesterday and today.
From the first audience granted to an african freedom fighter by the pope Paul VI to Amílcar Cabral in 1970; to his speaking in front of the United Nations security council again as the first defender of African Independence, Cabral's unique work is remembered in this film by young African and Pan-African scholars filmed in Cape Verde, Libya, Portugal, Guinea Bissau ...
...
Inspired and artistically designed with the fantastic Opus of Amilcar Cabral in mind, the goal of this documentary is to put his theories and ideas in the spotlight. Comparing his work with actual cultural and social issues, like the foreseen north-african revolutions, the countries who helped Cabral in his struggle are identified in this movie by Amilcar Cabral's words that seemed to predict the actual facts.
The goal of this movie is to spread Cabral's words ...
... and wisdom and support the cabralist concept of re-africanisation of the spirit, recognised all around the world as a pillar of african emancipation.
Underlined with musical compositions that put the audience into a unique african atmosphere and supported by his own graphical look.
This 52 minutes long film is a mirror of African humanism and socio-cultural evolution and progress.

Dr. Hunter Adams & Dr. Wade Nobles: African Centered Power - The Ability To Defend Reality
Between climate change, rising prices and security threats, Burkina Faso has an urgent need to develop sustainable food sovereignty. In response to this challenge, the Burkinabe government has launched an “agriculture offensive”, which aims to reduce the food imports that put a strain on foreign reserves and everyone from farmers to city dwellers. Across the country, we meet local farmers and cooperatives who have received support while experts reflect on how the country’s recent and current history precipitates the goal of a thriving agriculture sector, and ultimately, self-sufficiency.
